Kevin is just trying to stop fires before they start....not his fault that some people get a little carried away. The funny thing about it is that the people who started all of this(me and importkiller) aren't even argueing anymore...it is other guys jumping in.

Kevin is +++
I know, Kevin is +++ as far as I'm concerned. I just thought it was kinda funny the way he phrased it. As if turbo's were not relevant to street racing.

I think his point is that it turned into a technical discussion. Personally I think Turbos are second best only to NOS on the street. A trained ear can hear a blower whine at idle, but only under pressure do you hear the blow off valve.
Unless you are cocky about it and don't put a grill over your intercooler. That seems to be the moder equivalent of sticking your intake up through the hood.

The thread turned technical and strayed off topic to a point that was no longer relevant to street racing. Turbo's are relevant to street racing, in context that is.
I've noticed more and more lately that topics stray off course and spiral out of control only to end up in flaming, personal bashing, and name calling. All violations of the boards rules and regs. I have received many, many, many complaints about this very thing and am determined to do something about it. I am not hell-bent on offending people, though it may happen and if it does I apologize. I've been here long enough to know when a thread is headed in the wrong direction. When it does it will be closed. If anyone has a problem with another I encourage the use of emails to resolve the probelms, not the boards. I know full well how emotions can run high and that know one wants to receive the "last punch". However, the bickering, name calling and personal bashing detract from this board and this site as a whole. When possible I am going to do something about it. For you import folks, we welcome you to Mustang Works. Keep in mind where you are at and that most of our members are partial to Fords, specifically Mustangs. Inferno has been here a long time. He's earned the respect of many members and his opinions are respected. Just because you're an import owner does not automatically brand you with a scarlet letter. Be aware of how you phrase things and always show respect. For the mustang owners, try to keep an open mind. If you don't like what you read simply move on and let the thread die. Let's all try to get along here and have fun!

Man, I remember first getting my liscense in the late 80s/early 90s when the 5.0 was hot. There was no "Do you drive a domestic?"
My car wasn't called a "Domestic", but now because of this whole import craze I have to be known as a "Domestic Driver". I mean, I don't mind at all...times have changed and I know that. I've even learned to embrace it by working on my friend's imports and taking them to the track with me. I respect both sides of it, I just can't stand when import drivers(mostly ricers) look down on us domestic guys. Especially when they make ignorant comments on how domestics are only good for going into a straight line or domestics arent reliable. I know it sounds corny, but I do wish we could "all just get along".

Re: Turbo's not relative to street racing?
That's pretty funny fellas, I came to this thread expecting to hear something about a turbo on a mustang or some turbo ricer but I guess I am out of the loop. I didn't hear the original thread. Please dont inform me if it will rekindle the fire that obviously was blazing through the forum.
