Hmmm pity you guys don't have many 'lines running around, much like we miss out on american muscle cars... we gotta settle for aussie made V6's n V8's...
some info on skylines... There's a lot of different types n models of em... and different shapes of skylines too. First off theres no such thing as an R36... lol starting with R31 (first modern skyline to have some sort of performance scope) Engine: RB30E: SOHC Inline 6 3.0L engine, EFI 2 Door or 4 Door, most of them were N/A and the Turbo versions are rare. R32 (First Skyline that had some serious power) comes in different types: GTS (N/A) RB20DE (2.0L DOHC) or RB25DE (2.5L DOHC) GTSt (Single Turbo) RB20DET or RB25DET (rare) GTS4 (GTSt with All Wheel Drive, previous ones were RWD) RB20DET GTR (Twin Turbo AWD 2.6L, nicknamed Gojira, or Godzilla) RB26DETT - This is the one you guys can import to the US, you guys cant get the lower spec ones. (Which make very very very nice Drift cars) There are 2 door coupes or 4 door versions R33 - these don't use 2.0L anymore only available in 2.5L R34 - Current model one, that unfortunately they're gonna use in FnF2 and attractt he attention of every single riceboy on earth. Most of us don't like the idea or ricers putting our signature stoveplates on their Honda's n eclipses, or GTR badges on 4cyl shitboxes, or buying a 'line only to lace it with stickon graphics and T-Wings that double as park benches. If you guys want more info check out www.skylinesaustralia.com or skylinesdownunder.co.nz |
Oh and GTR's are sold in Japan with the stock power stated as the legal limit when they actually put out a bit more, n they're very easy to tweak.

who wants to buy me one? :D
Hey Funkmonkey have you looked at what Ford and GM of australia is doing now? There cars are MUCH better than ours for the most part. V8 RWD sedans, Turbo Inline 6 sedans for Ford and then of course the Holdens too. One day i will get rich and retire to Australia :D :D :D it is too bad you guys dont get many of the 60's and 70's musclecars like we do. I know you guys have some but arer they pretty rare? |
OKay so these skylines are fast, hmmm well i guess 280 is good, but my Stang will put 400hp on the ground with 400+torque,
and this is before the Powerdyne gets into the act... Remember boys.... No replacement for displacement, and i don't care how bad those turbos spin, they arent' going to put the same torque down as a well tuned 351W supercharged....sorry but the torque gets me off the line and the HP gets me down the line.... So bring on those skylines...I'll send them back to japan in pieces... :D :D :D |

Spend a little time researching the skylines, and you will realize what the rest of the world already knows. They are the best production car to never be imported to the US. Period. |
So the Ford production S7 is a better car
and for the price the Z06 is a much better ride, and modded would hand the skyline its *****$ any day of the week.... sorry not buying it here in SD:D |
Tell me does this skyine do 6 second runs?
i have yet to see anything that comes out of japan that is that fast that doesn't have a rocket shoved up its arse and lit or falling off a cliff...a very high cliff... :D :D |
ImportKiller:rolleyes:, hope you see my challenge in the other post. My car doesn't have a rocket and isn't falling off a cliff...but I am sure that it will beat your "superior" vehicle.

When ever Where Ever....
I'll cook your rice.... oh and by the way here are the specs of the skyline that you're all bowing down too... You give me that money you spent on that pos and i'll put it into a mustang and i'll be in the 9's or even 8's..... It all comes down to one thing....you spent all that money and you can still be beaten by a man who spent 20k on his domestic.... and lets not even begin to talk about chevys...obtaining hp in a chevy is so easy even my lil brother could do it.... :D |
Set a date ImportKiller. I am waiting on you.

Lying dormant?
How the heck did this thread get started again after lying dormant for a year?
Rev |
That's a good question Rev.
Why don't you guys set a date and get this crap over. Put your money where your mouths are and do it. Geez, I'm tired of reading this stuff. Keep it confined to emails, not the boards. |
