Thumbs down Nitto Drag Radials vs. Yokohama A008P's

Hey this past weekend i raced a 95 Cobra who had Nitto Drag Radials 275/40--17. My car was equipped with Yokohama A008P's 255/40--17. When we took off he was spinning like crazy. I thought he was going to smoke me being a Cobra on drag radials but my yok's hooked up and he got dusted and disgusted . I had plans on getting some Nitto DR's but i'll just stick with my Yok's.

Don't be fooled by a bad driver, the Nitto's can hook, especially when driven well.

I have em and like em. If you really want to get them sticky though you REALLY have to burn on them. Im talkin a good 15 second 2nd gear burnout, then launch quickly, dont waste your time or they wont hook as well.

Question

So the Yokos A008P's hook without warming them up? How much do they cost?

Nitrous Al: They hook up great without heating them up. Normally they cost around $210-$230 for 255/40-17 but i got mine for $195 thru a friend. They also last longer too!
