Notch wasn't so mighty!
This was last Saturday, but i still wanted to share with you.
Walking out of Zak's with my g/f, we crossed the street where a greyish '90's Notch stopped to let us cross. I gave him an up-and-down look and he threw a friendly rev. It sounded like a 5-ton truck w/open dump: TOUGH! I walk 5min. back to my car and head home. Half way down Montreal road, low and behold the same Notch pulls up on me at a light! I roll window down and say "It sounds tough". His cocky passenger says "Yeah, it's got the biggest balls of 'em all!" Then i knew it was on :-) We talked and thought it was best to go to St-Laurent. At St-Laurent and Montreal Rd, we went from a 30kph rolling start, when i hit 2nd, i pulled on him so bad i thought he was gonna drop a load! I slow down and he says "let's do it from a stop!" No problemo. I'm haven a blast toyin' with this notch! I knew i was gonna get crushed. Light went green, we naied it, his exhaust wailed like a rolling thunder, i had a perfect launch, we stayed even in first, then i hit Freightliner 2nd, and pulled like crazy again, then at the top of third i shut down - by then we were going much to fast :-) This is a long e-mail, but i had a blast racing again. We did it for almost 3 miles down one of Ottawa's main veins at 2:00am. |
