Default Official freak status...

There is no way in hell a stock 01' Cobra can outrun a LS1. All six of the LS1's I have beaten must have been driven by morons. I outran 2 of them from a roll. Even a convertible LS1 should be able to smoke my @ss. ......

The local chevy crowd has confirmed I have a FREAK. I pulled a 13.7 @106 @3000ft on the G-tech so come on how freaky can it be.

Oh...Wait!!! I figured it out maybe not all LS1's run 12's. ... I know this must come as a shock. Many of the guys are experiencing there first loss to a 4.6L and are having trouble dealing with it.

BTW: There is a 03' Cobra here now......but it is owned by a 55 year old women. ...What a waist.

Later,

you never know what that 55 year old women might do with that car.. I am girl and i know how to get on my car.. i get a lot of looks of shock from guys when they see me driving my mustang... just today i had two ricers jaws hanging as i passed them from the opposite ways.. the one actually made a complete stop to stare when i passed by..and the other was turning down the road that i was stopped at a stop sign and he was just staring in utter disbelief... both times i gave it a little rev and let my exhaust tell them what i thought of their staring...
so i wouldnt call it a waste until you see what she does with that car.. she will probably surprise you..

Oh no... Sacrilege!!

The god of all motors, the mighty LS1, will run mid 12's in stock form... leap tall buildings in a single bound.... stop locomotives with its mighty torque....

Hehe, good kills...

Man O Man..Your really enjoying your Cobra. Thats cool. Good kills man.

Tim C, Marya, and I all ran at the track Thursday. There was one LS-1 that broke into the 13's, and he used 50 shot to run a 13.4 at 107. (Weather was 102 degrees with 100 percent humidity). While Tim C ran consistant 13.8's, and I ran consistant 14 flats at 100 MPH (which is 3 MPH less than last time.)

Marya (2001 WS-6) ran a lowest of 14.04, her average was 14.2's. My lowest was a 14.0015 at 100.37. My best 60 ft was a 2.15. Thats off idle. I still have yet to launch. I dont think thats to bad for that weather, without launching, and non power shifting or speed shifting.

Hey Dark 5.0 What was the weather when you turned in a 13.8?

The weather is always the same here....Freakin HOT with "0" Humidity.

I got a little too cocky and got spanked last night by a modded vette. It didnt hurt hough there were only about 20 people watching ....

All I have are G-tech times.....I will got to the track soon.

Yea, with e.t. streets i was giving the 'almighty' ls1 a hard time, i beat plenty of them now, the a4 ss was a handful though, i beat a m6 firehawk, and played with a c-5 on the higway the other day, i know a c-5 can really move, especially on the higway, but my car refused to drop off his tail, the problem i had was when the higway curved, at 110 mph my car starts to drift with no swaybar, thats when i had to let off in 4th gr, im ready to put it back on, if i can find all the hardware.

Can we call you Dark Freak now, or just Mr Freak? can't believe there have been 7 posts on this topic and not one response from the GM contingent.......once they regain their consciousness, I'm sure the flame war will begin.

Nice kills...finally someone else that has run into the exact same thing I have (re: modded SS I raced last fall that went mid 13's).

Take it easy,

I am joking, my car isnt a freak cause of its speed but cause it can beat LS1's. The local Chevy guys seem to be in dis-belief, I am making fun of there attitude.

I have lost to a couple of LS1's and a vette. I am not going to speculate on my cars speed that would be "Ricer like"....I will wait till I get track times.

Hoping for a 13.6 @2800ft.

I'm very curious to see what you'll run with it. I've never seen any at the track, but I've seen plenty of stock GTs run in the high-13s. I would think mid-low 13s would be possible.

I test drove a 2002 Cobra last fall and they can move.

First of all, I hate to burst the bubble, but the G-Tech is a waste.. we've all used em here & went to the track & went on average7 tenths slower in real life. Don't b disappointed if it happens to you...

Second, don't say that it's a waste for a woman, regardless of age, to have a fast car! I can beat almost all the guys here in mine.. I agree with Cait85GT5.0!! When people see my car, they assume that it's a guys car. When they ask who it belongs to & i say me, they laugh & say yeah, right. I just tell em to laugh as they get passed by a girl....

Trust me this 55 year old woman wont be doing any racing .....Her owning the car isnt the waist.....None of us getting to run the only 03' Cobra in town is the waist.

Yes the G-tech is crap......and thats why I dont post G-tech times.
I guarantee I am running a 13 something. Some of the cars I have beat run 13's at the track.

Trust me you didnt burst my bubble....Newbie.

You're right about LK getting a 13.6x something out of his old GT (the green one), but Dark 5.0 is around 3,000 ft. above sea level.

Now LK's '00GT (with a head light missing) is an authentic freak that runs 13.6xx.

I ran my car at the track on 3 back to back runs and also using the G-Tech. My G-Tech was about .25 seconds optimistic and about 5 mph optimistic. It was a year or so ago, but i have the G-Tech times/ mph written down on the time slips. Others here on MW swear their G-Tech is dead on time-wise.

dont rely on a g-tech. go to the track if you want a real number. g-tech add about 5 mph to what it would really be..

so that's a 13.7 @ 101.......... hardly a freak

Yea the heat/humidty during rainy season here in south florida is a killer too. i was runnin 13.6s @ 104 last week and 13.5s @ 105 the week before. Those LS1s near you guys are....anyways.

My G-Tech has been acturate though. For example, one run Moroso Dragyway said i ran a 13.58 @104 and the G-Tech recored a 13.64 @ 108 on that same run. It is usually half a tenth off and 4 mph high. It is sensitve to having it set up right.

nice kills though. There has only been one 01 Cobra at the track that i have seen and it had a x pipe and mass air running 14.3s @ 101 a couple months ago.

Reef....he's not calling his car a freak. He's being facetious. He beat several of the bow-tie boys and THEY think he has a freak simply by that fact, thus the sarcastic response from Dark.

Anyway...13.anything at 3000 ft. of altitude is fairly quick in a N/A stock car.
