Cool Played with a Camaro

I hardly ever post but after reading some of the camaro RS kills I have to post mine:
I have a buddy with a 92 Camaro RS 305 5 speed, stock exept flows. I was out test driving my car, I had just finished putting some new struts in and wanted to see the difference they made. I happened to run in to my buddy, we pull off into a parking lot and chat a little then I ask if he wants to run me, just for fun, he does, so we drive a little ways out to a deserted part of Route 66.
I tried launching to high, around 3500 and spun through first got some traction in 2nd and pull away about a car before 3rd. I quit then and we happen to catch the next light so we run again I didn't spin so bad but he got the jump so about the same result, I had a car by the end of 2nd gear. Now I just wanted to post this because, well, his car really surprised me, he did better than a lot of 305 Z-28's I've raced, I expected to walk all over him no matter how poorly I drove. Afterward we cruised around a bit in my car, which he was pretty impressed with. It was fun, first race I've had in awhile, sorry this is so long.

I dont know if the '92 RS 305's have a higher output than the other years. What mods he have? I'll check up on this.

He just bought it recently and a flowmaster muffler and a Z-28 shift knob are the only differences from stock we have found on it.
I think the reason he seemed to run as well as the 305 Z-28's I've raced is probably because he is a pretty good driver, he has a lot of had more experiance than the average 20 year old.

I've looked it up and I can't find anywhere where it shows that there even is a 305 RS, only Z's. I'll look more...

Iam not sure about Camaros but a buddy of mine has a Monte Carlo SS with a 305 and for as heavy as the car is it has some power it can't keep up with me but it can move.It just depends on how you drive and how well you car is hooked up.
