Default The Power Ranger has it's first kill with new owner

I recently bought a beater from my older brother Chris (BigCountryGT). It's a 92 Ranger, 4.0 Liter, 5-speed with 245K miles. Lifters tap like crazy, huge dent in the door, the whole 9 yards. But I digress........

I go to leave school today and I'm behind a 93-97 V-6 Camaro. I pull out behind him and he's changing CD's or something so he's going a little too slow for my tastes (30 in a 45) so I accelerate past him as I turn out onto the road, the tires giving a little chrip as I shift into second.

We pull up at a light, both with cars in front of us. When the light goes green he punches it a litte. I get on it a little too just to show him I can spin tires too.

Traffic thins out and I notice ahead that the light just turned yellow ( ). But just as we're about to get to the light. Some redneck in beat up old 70's Chevy pulled out of a store, into my lane, and up to the light (DOH!!!)

So I pulled up behind Camaro boy. The light on goes green and he nails it. I punch it too and we're off. I get pass the truck, switch lanes and hit second. At this point I'm about 2 car lenghts behind due to be being behind him at the light and switching lanes. I start to pull him him in second gear. I pull even to his door and hit 3rd. I pull my door up to his fender then hit 4th. At this point neither him nor I could pull away from each other, so I shut down.

He looked pretty pissed that he got beat by such a POS The look on his face was priceless as I was running even with him

P.S. I attached a picture of the beast

LOL, it was probably one of the anemic 3.4L's they make no power like 160hp about the same as your 4.0L and the truck is probably lighter.

Bought ?????????????

More like gave..........

Back in the day it was quick for what it was.

I used to SMOKE third generation Camaro's. The ones with the 305's
It ran a 10:50 in the 1/8 stock.

since it has the 4.0 it has the 8.8 and the larger radiator

Yea but I've got 243K miles.....so it's more like 140hp now, hehe.

True, it used to be a quick little truck.
