Here is the deal with the GM guys at work
 

The guys at work always run their mouths about the LS1. Yes there are fast. But what gets me is they say a stock one will smoke me bad. So on tuesday one of the guys brought his 01 T/A to work thinking I had the day off I heard. I showed up and asked him if he wanted to run them. He said he was scared of getting a ticket. The other GM guy said if he had his there he would run me no problem. So he threw him the keys. All of a sudden he said he does not want to risk it either. I said heck there is a road in the idustrial park with no cars let's go. Then he rambled off more excuses. So you guys come up with your own conclusions. Are they all talk or what?

most of them are full of shi- brian they want to run my stock 00gt with a built out the a$$ 454 ca- mary -o's one guy at works lays the smack down about his 72 nova, i tell him bring it , but he had to go put a 4 barrel on it ,cam etc & i havent seen the pos since he bought a pt cruiser hehe the other guy with the monster 454 camaro has never been seen ,i alway's ask where is your camaro? uuuhhh it aint running right just yet but i will smoke your a$$ hhhumm still waiting on both of them guess i alway's will be , no dis to gm guy' but these 2 boy's talk crap:D

So they think a stock LS1 will beat a 10 second stang. :rolleyes: Please.

Bri, i know if i was to hear your car idle, i would probaly already know not to touch your car in a stock ls1, or stock anything for that matter, those ls1 guys think a loping idle, heads and cam mustang isnt nothing on their ls1.....just have to keep teaching them, their MAF, LID, and cuttouts arent gonna make them a stang killer lol.

The guy who started this episode says his stock truck with an 80 shot will spank me as well---It really is getting on my nerves now.....Everyday thaey talk sh!t.....It is almost to the point if they do not stop talking crap I am going to throw down with them. I do b elieve I can take them both---D@mn I am mad---Yes they have gotten to me.

have they ever heard your car run? cause i'm pretty sure I could tell a car was out of my league by the sound of it. damn idiots. I just hope you guys know not all us GM boys are that stupid or even close to that stupid.

Camaro Guy---Yes they have seen, heard, watched me burn rubber and they are friends with the guy who built my engine. So what's up with that? I think that they are just hardcore GM guys.

some people just don't get it. oh well all you can do is wait for the day you meet at a light.

Well, some of us know how it is to be "hardcore make?? guys, but even then, i know an average driver in a ls1 will beat me, as much as i hate to admit it, although im always telling my aunt i would spank her ws6, but thats cuz i know she wont run me, if she did, i would explain how she would trap 103-106, and i would barely trap 99:( her car is nice no doubt.

I have a solution....show up to his house one day before work. Take another co-worker with you to confirm that he chickened out of a challenge. Turn the tables on them. You seem to respect their cars, but you have to save face at the same time. This is one of the few times when you have to sink to their level, especially if they are really getting to you. They won't stop you embarass them.

Sounds like an idea to me. I will hide a block away until I see them pass by then make sure I am next to them at the first redlight. Great Idea--thanks

i gotta agree with the embarass them plan. these people that love to talk sh*t need to be called out, no matter what they drive.

they need to understand there is always someone faster!

I think you should give them a ride in your car (unless you have removed the seats). That should take care of the problem.:)

if they won't run you on the street then tell them to take it to the track or shut the hell up.


If they will run you at the track be sure and make it a grudge match and have the announcer call it out. Also see if they will pony up some money to run the race...
