First track numbers....

Well, I ran for the first time ever on a straight track tonight. I was able to make three passes and ended up getting better every time.

Here's my best run:

R/T---.748
60'---2.197
330---5.956
1/8---9.375
MPH---75.53
1000--12.203
1/4---14.595
MPH---94.41

Overall, I guess I was pleased, seeing as I had no idea how it would run.

Keep these things in mind:

-I drove 50 miles to the track
-I didn't take ANYTHING out...speaker box, tire, jack, jacket, tools, etc.
-I ran street PSI in the tires
-It's an AOD
-The altitude is around 3400 ft...65* with a 10mph head wind
-I'm only running slightly better than stock timing (don't really even know...light's busted) and I haven't set my TPS yet (swapped it from my old TB and haven't had a chance to borrow my buddies volt meter)
-This is my first time to run the 1/4

Anyway, let me know what you think. These numbers equate to about 13.99 @ 98.54 mph at sea level.

I know I can hit 14.4's or 14.3's with some tuning and track preparation.

I wouldn't be too disapointed with the times given all that was working against you. And this also gives you a realistic look at what you can run at a stop light. Some tuning, more track time and ditch the weight you should easily hit your goal.

nice times that is pretty close to what I run @3000ft.

The more practice you get at the track the faster you get.

With a lil' practice or some drag radials you may hit low 14's

Good luck http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif
