I was racing a Jetta 1.8T today on the freeway ( I know it's pathetic, but with my 96mph trap, I'm taking no chances ;) ) Anyway, we get it started at about 90, and I'm pulling on him okay till about 115, when all of a sudden my car starts pulling even harder! I took it up to about 130, then shut it down, waved at him, and pulled off. Why did my GT pull harder at 115???!?!? I mean, Im not complaining, but it really felt like my stang was lacking at normal freeway speeds, but kicking *** as **** got crazier? So what's up?

Getting into the powerband again? I don't know dude. Physics says you're gonna go slower. That's all I have to say on that.

Hate to burst your bubble, but it wasn't your stang....the 1.8T in stock form runs out of steam above 5000 rpms.

I don't know what else it could have been besides hitting your powerband like Unit said.
