not a race, but a cool story anyway. On the way home today from the inlaws, a viper rides up next to me. it was a removable top job, where just the section over the seats comes off, know what i mean? anyway, in the little back window he had the lettering "VENOM 600 635 hp" If this were the case, why would he put that on the car? When he took off from the light, he ripped, spinning first, scond and a little in third. car was definitely powerful, and very well could have been the venom, but why advertise? Wish the stang was still together, i would have tried it.

That is a Hennesey Viper. It is a shop in Texas that builds higher performance Vipers. They are similar to Saleen except the cars arent sold through dodge dealers you have to take your Viper to them and then they do stuff to it. They have a twin turbo version that makes like 800 horspower :eek: The cars have been in various Motor Trends over the years.

I know what you mean. If I had to guess, I'd say that particular person fell under the "I want to show off and tell everyone that I have a great car, not just a regular viper:rolleyes: ", instead of the category of "I want to win more races and surprise people." I guess it's all in what you want. (or he could be compensating for something:eek: )

Well, if it were infact a hennessy and he just droped probally 25G's on his car he probally wants to show off and most viper owners are dam cocky, and D&R Stang might be right and hes trying to make up for something. Now if it was the Hennessy 800TT thats another story 800HP and 800TQ is dam nice :)

well saleen allways has there name on the window... i know that u see alot of people with stock mustangs and saleen stickers but still there would be good reasoning for it

I cruised with 2 Vipers for 400mi from Tucson, AZ to the TX border on I-40. Both guys were really cool and down to earth. One used to drive a Fox 5.0 just like mine.
