new times with new combo

1 Attachment(s)
before, I was runnin a 306 with almost all stock parts, and running a 14.3@98.

I just went back today with the new combo, and ran a 13.4@106. With a 2.210 60ft. If I had traction, what times do you think I could run?

This isn't the best video, but it's better than nothing I guess. Let me know if you have problems viewing it.

Well, they say every tenth off your 60' equates to 2 tenths off your ET. Let's say for example you could pull a 1.9 60'. That would mean you would've run a 12.8! Realistically, more like 13 flat, but 12's with traction are definitely attainable. Good luck!

Get some slicks and pull of some 1.7, 1.8 60's and you'll have 12.8's easy. :)

I see 12.6 in your future w/ 1.70 60's.

Give it a little time to break-in and you'll be running 107's. Definately 12 second potential with some traction.

Congratulations on the new combo and ET/MPH! :)

Thanks Gents,
My next question for ya is what should be the first thing I should get in my suspension? I've never messed with the suspension of my cars in the past, so I'm kinda clueless. Obviously some sticky tires are gonna come first, but what about LCA's and all the other things out there? What's really gonna work? What I mean is that I know I won't be able to afford an entire package. What parts will help the most when I buy them alone?

okay, I think I got it right that time (after rewording it three or four times:D )

First, you have a 12 second car with good low 1.8 60 ft.

As far as the suspension, I don't know how far you want to go, but this is my opinion:

Tires. Slicks, then ET Streets, then drag radials. starting with the best.

Then get a good set rear lower control arms such as the HP Motorsports Megabyte jr's.

Subframe connectors also help.

The go with some loose struts such as a 90/10 or 70/30. I still have stock rear shocks in mine.

Then drag springs.

You will really notice a difference with good tires and the lower control arms.

thanks for the tips and compliments. I've already got a set of MM full length subframe connectors with seat braces. I just have to get them welded in. Slicks are the next to come since I don't really street race anymore (except maybe on very rare circumstances), and then I'll try to pick up some LCA's. Thanks again,
Dave
