Cold air=good time slip

Friday night at HRP in Baytown. Tx. it was 40 F and 37% relative humidity. This apparently allowed my car to run .3 seconds better ET and about 2 mph faster trap speed. I would never have guessed that atmospheric conditions would make that much difference. I was hoping for maybe .1 on the ET. Needless to say, I was a hppy camper.

Ya'll down there in Texas must have been freezing! ;) haha.
Now you see why us east coast guys get all geeked when fall arrives. Cool fall weather = great times. The times you're running are great! Gotta love the C4. Do you ever bracket race it? |
Nice times! getting close to 12's!! :D
|
great times man, i'm always at HRP. is your 66 red?
|
Red
Thanks guys for the response. And yes, it's red with black steel rims with chrome trim rings and lug nuts. 40 F seems cold here, but it does freeze occasionally, LOL.

nice job Rev!

Nice ET I think you have a 12 seond car if you can get that 60ft to come down to a 1.8 or so.
|
Hey Rev, how often do you make it out to HRP? I've never been on Friday, just Sunday's. Let me know next time you are goin out there, I'll try to make it.

Solid times, Rev. MPH looks good too! ;)
Cooler temps make for dense air that = more power. Gotta love it. What kind of tires are you running? E |
Street tires
Just BFG Radial TA's 235/60/15's. Traction can sometimes be a problem if they don't have the track well prepared with lots of VHT and if there's not some rubber laid down at the starting line.

Yo suck! Its frezzing ballz here in the north and the track is covered with a foot of snow! I should move so I could race my car all year round:D Great times. Keep it Up.
