Raced a turbo civic si, then he took me for ride in car
After getting back from dragstrip friday, i was cruising home and i pull along side this blue civic with a plate that said GOT BST and i had heard it was quick, he was running a turbo with about 10lbs of boost. So we lined up and kicked from a roll, i got the early jump, hit second, still held hit third and he started to gain a little then i shutdown(running out of road) we pulled into krogers and talked, the car looked completely stock except for racing springs and after market exhaust, no big can though. He then took me for a ride and that car can get it, he told me he ran a 13.95 but hasnt been running good since he bent his downpipe. Anyways it was a good race and he wasnt a riceboy. I think i have a new found respect for imports.

I've always had respect for some imports. My parents even owed a couple beside our Fords. But it is when the "riceboys" get a hold of these cars and try to make them something they are not. That is when I lose respect for them.
There are some very cool import cars out there. They are cool, but my car is still the Mustang http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif ------------------ Driving: 1998 F-150 Far way in Edmonton==> :( 1995 Mustang GT |

Every so often you'll run into someone that owns an import as isn't a ricer. My buddy has a 12 second Sentra SE-R and is just your every day racer nothing more. He used to be a big pontiac guy back in the day.

I had a Nissan pick up that I wanted to drop in a 300Z TT motor. But My brother rolled his truck, and needed a car, so I sold it to him before I even got it to the track once. I would suspect that it could break into the 14's. The market's out there, you just gotta have the money to do it.

Good story and better ending.
There are definately some cool import drivers and some quick 4bangers. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif bigwhitecobra 300 TT motor in a truck. Sounds like a mini-lightning. Anybody Get Struck? |
Never got to do it. It would have been more fun than any one man should have, I guess. Imagine 275+ hp in a 2700lb truck. God that would have gotten alot of attention.
