A$$ handed to me by an Integra
 

Hate to admit it but got beat down by an 90's integra with a turbo.

I was on my way to the local hang out in Lauderdale and on the way there was the white integra that was trying to keep up on traffic with me. I could hear the blow off valve everytime he let off the gas. Anyway a few times from the light I would get on it and just pull away from him a good 2-3 cars from first but there was too much traffic to try and race all out.

Finally after making a few turns we had some room to run and from a second gear roll we went. He slowly creeped on by me till I hit the top of 4th and he had me by 1 1/2 cars by then.

I'm sure from a dead stop it would have been a different story but it wasn't and I lost. Till next time.

I never race from a roll, the boosted imports feed off of the roll, if he only got 1 1/2 from a roll it would've been you by three from a dig.

I don't doubt that from a dig I would have gotten him by a couple of cars. Same way with LS1's actually. My car just doesn't make much power and from a roll it's all about power.

A few months back I ran against one of the newer type R's with spray. We went from a dig and I beat him by 2 or 3 cars, from a roll I would just barely edge him out at the top of 4th by half a car. He was running 13.3@103 at the time and I was going 13.1@103.

Yep, i posted a vette i killed a few months back, heck that same day a type-r tried me, we were doing about 50mph i dropped to 3rd and he pulled on me, finally about 75-80 i started gaining and evened out, but then some dipshi*t pulled out in front of me so i had to shut er down, but i know he went bragging to his friends about beating a mustang, thats cool though, cuz from a stop i would of left him like an alcoholic wife!! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif just like i did that 95 vette.

Guess im glad i didnt try the vette from a roll, because those cars seem to move quick when they are already rolling about 40+++.

Actually it was Friday night heading out to the Tower Shops off University Dr for the car show.

I haven't been out to Fudds in a long time. I think the last time I pulled in there my car was 2 weeks old and I had the slowest car in the parking lot by about 2-3 seconds!

Not to sound naive......I've never raced from a roll........is it true that the imports have a better shot at taking us if we do? How about Stangs vs Camaros etc on a roll?

bada$$lx, honestly if the car your racing is making more power than you then running from a roll will hurt you. Especially if it's a turbo car because they are starting out at full boost. From a dead stop they are at no boost so if you can launch good and have some decent gears you can put enough cars on them and they won't be able to catch you.
