Exclamation pulley woes

I just installed a set of march underdrive pulleys alternater , crank, and water pump.
I noticed a nice increase but my battery gauge goes almost to zero when idleing, i know it is because of the alternator pulley, but is there any way to fix it other than replacing the alternater. please help almost ready to take it off and break it

Thanx for any info or help

Cool

What kind of shape was your alternator in before the pulley install? If it was weak, the pulleys will only compound the problem. Now might be a good time to upgrade to a higher amp alternator.

Just my 2 cents.

If you need a little increase in charging, you can install the smaller, stock alternator pulley which will spin the alternator a little faster. I've done this before and it helped. I don't remember if I had to use a shorter belt. I'd try the stock belt first.

If that doesn't work, March sells a smaller alternator pulley as part of their #2015 kit. If you can order that pulley alone, the charging will be as good as stock.

I am using the march pulleys and I have not had any trouble whatsoever. Sorry to hear that.
