Question Need to get hooked up with someone with mid 80's stang with 351 and glide.

I have an 84 stang I am working on and need to talk to somebody about some drivetrain issues that I am working on. The car has a 351w with a powerglide. Like to find someone that has the same setup I can email or call and see if they had the same problems as me and what they did. I have put several posts up on different topics, but they all don't get answered.

Thanks in advance

I am using a solid GM trans mount with a 1 1/4" spacer. I am trying to run collector extensions on my hooker long tubes, but the pipes hit the crossmember and the bracket the cross member mounts to. Is my spacer too thick? That would lower the engine angle and headers or do I just have to modify my x-member. I don't have a torch or welder I have to cut and pound to modify stuff. If I lower the spacer that will make my driveshaft too for into the tranny I think. Just not sure how to run the exhaust.

Thanks

Try a different spacer first and see if that helps. If it doesn't your gonna have to modify your x-member for sure.

I sure hope you have solid motor mounts too...
you might have a muffler shop make extensions that angle down a little too.. if the 351 uses the same mounts as the 302. try convert ones.. the engine will sit lower....
