Post Raced a guy in a Dakota

It was a ext cab dakota. I'm not sure what motor it had. We never actually got to run side by side but I'm pretty sure I would take him. It was cool though, but as soon as we hit a passing zone I smoked past him. I thought my god what a dog. Turns out they have an 85mph governer, that would suck!! He was a real cool guy afterwards he pulled up next to me and said hey nice car bla bla bla.
Let me tell you one thing, I was behind him at the light and he left a cloud of tiresmoke so thick, I gaurantee you could'nt see my car at all

Well a Dakota was in front of me one day and he smoked his tires as he left the light. I chased him down this two lane street in the middle of downtown Kingsport, Tn (25 mph zone). Well we got stopped at a light (I was behind him). He started revving and so did I. I had my ex g/f with me (the one with the 00 GT). When the light changed he took off and so did I. I immediately grabbed the left lane and sucked past him. A mile or so down the road he pulls up beside and gives the big thumbs up, his little boy had a look on his face like WOW!

I raced another Dakota one night and turned out that the cops busted us. Got a ticket for 92 in a 55, but it was for wreckless driving and drag racing. Take it from me, don't ever get caught, it sucks. The only good thing was that when the cop had me in his car he was like, "Well I give you one thing, you sure the hell beat that Dakota."

Sometimes trucks can be fast off the line with low gearing.
I got taken by over two cars on the jump by a new Jeep Grand Cherokee of all things. I didn't pass him until I hit about 60 after shifting into 3rd.
Turns out he was supercharged though, because I thought I was smoking some good crack for a minute.

Most of the time crap like that will happen off the line due to traction, but the top end power will overcome the distance on those trucks.
