Default Raced a tt 3000 gt today.

I raced a guy that I work with that has been running his mouth about how fast his car is and how there was no way my car could beat him and how he beat a porch 911 and bla bla bla.
Any way we finally got to line them up and run today and I have got to say those all wheel drive cars hook like they are glued to the road.
He got me off the line by about 5 cars, all I could do is spin and watch the car lengths multiply and then..... TRACTION; I reeled him in like he hit the brakes and the look on his face was priceless. He clamed that he missed 3rd gear so we ran again and had the same results. He had no more excuses.

He said he has bigger turbo’s on the car and that he has a lot of work done to it.
Anyway one guy in the shop bet on my car and he filled my gas tank for me after I won.
BTW: all runs were off the bottle; I still have not run the bottle yet.
Ahh it feels good to bust someone’s bubble like that; I think Monday I will rub a little more salt in the wound.
I would not normally rag someone so hard but he was a sore looser and was mad after I beat him.

I don't know about spraying it yet, I am still afraid of using the nitrous on this motor until I get my fuel pressure gage installed in the car and get a low pressure cut off switch.

It was still fun off the bottle

O yea I forgot to mention that I had the extra weight of another passanger in the car too.
The guy that bet on me wanted to go and watch the race and the guy I raced wanted him to ride with me.

If there's any horseower much, AWD's will give a good 60' showing, but after that it just sucks horsepower off the top. That of course is what you just saw, hee, hee.

What mods do you have to your stang? If he really has upgraded turbos, he should have 400 crank hp easy. I know awd robs hp on the top end, but you must be running low 13's, high 12's off the bottle on street tires.

Inferno : FiveO 's ride is quite fast. I think he'd have no trouble with a 3000GT, even a modded one. Now my ride on the other hand, I'd have my hands full with one.

Thanks, your right I did.

I don't think I would get him on the top end with the c-4 transmission.

yeah c-4's suck for top end racing. my previous ride topped out at 120 (3.55's and a c-4). i raced a talon AWD with it, he got me off the line, i caught him by the end of second, pulled a couple on him in third, and that was all i had...was at 6400 rpm hearing wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah....he drove by me at that point. that's why i went to the 5 speed

Thumbs up MAN

That is one bad "A" car you got. You don't look like much, except for the flames. You look like most of the 5.0s around here. EXCEPT...you are FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice run...NICE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, The flames are ghost flames and can not even be seen until you walk right up on the car.

I have people that have worked for me for 2 months that walk by the car and say, I did not know you had flames.

I am goint to sell the car soon, but when I build my next mustang I will stay with a 5 speed or a 6 speed trans.
Much better for every day use.

Jeez, with those mods, I'd expect you would be dusting off Z-06's, much less 3000Gt's. You must be deep into the 12's at 108-112 there. I'm impressed. 3800 lb 3 Litres don't stand a chance turboed or not.

The car ran a 12.5 @109 with the 302, unported heads, and t-5.

I am hopeing for 11's on motor and 10's on the bottle.
