![]() O.K., me and my friend are trying to find out which style Mustang is the lightest.
I'm saying an LX or 5.0 and he is saying any old coupe. I know the weights of the old coupes but what are the weights of the LX and 5.0? Of course if we're both wrong, please correct us. So what style Mustang is the lightest. and what is it's weight? Thanks! Ford kid |

![]() That's an easy one. A 2.3L manual tranny coupe. By far the lightest mustang, low 2800 pound area. Usually have better structural integrity for a race car as well because the engine is so torque-less it's unlikely that there's any frame twist. Heaviest is a 5.0L auto tranny GT convertible, i believe those are close to 3400-3500 lbs.
Why do you ask.....just a debate?
