Ran a blown stang

I took the stang out to the track last night, they had a setup where after 10 they shut off the the clocks and only the win light works. You could either go off the tree or have a lady flag you.

My first run was against my friends sentra, I let him take off waited a while than launched I had him easy pulled by third.

Next two runs were against a 90(?) GT with windser jr. heads, stock cam, roller rockers, ported stock intake, full exhaust, 3.08 gears, Drag radials and of course a paxton sn93 blower pullied for 9#'s.

The first run he jumped me out of the whole (I spun bad too) by third I was pulling went for fourth and missed (don't ask me how) and lost by about a car and a half.

The second run I get a better launch and pull him the whole way even at the top of third and all of fourth  I was suprised to have pulled him on the big end. With me winning by about two cars.

I asked him to run again but he wanted to let his car cool down, and we never got to run again.

Sounds like fun!!! Moroso has a day like that called outlaw drags with the clocks turned off. Its a fun time. A lot better than risking running on the street. Good kills!

i'm surprised you pulled him on the big end too. that stock intake has really got to be holding him back. if he swapped to, say, a holley systemax or a tfs track heat he would gain an easy 40-50 horsepower. that dudes combo should be putting out at least, and i mean at least, 340 horsepower!

Friday night at HRP is "street night". They don't show any times on the board, only a win light. They give you only your own time slip (they tear it in half), so you do know your own times. The idea is that nobody else knows your times if you're testing and tuning and supposedly that adds adds to the "stealth factor". When it's a close run, I sometimes go find the other guy to ask what he ran? Only once was the other guy a dork and refused to say.

I beleive the peak hp was at 5700 and the peak torque was 4250 or something like that I will have to go pull out the dyno sheet and check, I am working on getting it scanned and putting it on, but I have dyno tunning comming especially since I have changed the exhaust now.
