Default Ran a LS1 T/A

The other weekend Ezridn comes up to the bitter north for some weekend fun. So we hit the street racing scene and quickly land a race with red auto LS1 TA and a 99+ GT conv. we are going like 40 which is between first and second, can't really drop to first but not ready for second so I just leave it in second and he nails it and I nail it, we are side by side and the R's are still low, then the R's come up and the cam comes on and the stang starts to pull and we shut down with the stang about a fender up and the 99 stang WAY behind. So he wants to go again (and so do I since I was totally in the wrong gear) so we go from a 15mph roll, I leave it in 1st gear and he does to, he says go on 3-2-1-go so I wait and wait tell I see him hit it, then I hit it and instantly jump 3/4 car in 1st! then grab second and put another car and a half or more (trying to pay attention to the shifts and distance over ezridn's laughing), then third and the car lengths just keep adding up. So we shut down and head back and talk to him, it was a stock TA (can't remeber the year) auto 3.23 gears, he said I beat him but he thinks he was hanging with me on the big end, I ask him what he runs he says 13.6@101 I smirk and say that I am more than willing to run from a roll if he thinks he can run on the big end, he declines

nice kill's man. Was this down on the southside recently? I haven't been down there in a while thinking that the cold would keep people at bay. Although I did catch a race on 465 with an LS1 SS camaro a few friday nights ago. I was on the way to fill up the bottle, as I only had about 1.5-2lbs left in it, so i turned the bottle on to use whatever was left it in. And when its that low, it hits VERY soft, probably like a 25-30shot

Anway, I pulled on him VERY hard from about 60-100 or so. Then he got off at the US31 exit and headed towards the Steak&Shake area. I wasnt sure if you saw him or not, it was an orangish color with black stripes.

We'll have to catch up again one of these days and see what I can do against ya with the juice oh yah, milled/ported GT40P's and an anderson cam are on their way too. You better get that Novi 2000 soon

later dude

Nice Kill Sedanman See LS1's are no big deal, all hype and no bite.

FiveohPatrol - yeah that Orange SS is down on the southside alot he doesnt seem to run that much in fact I have never had him bite on a race and I dont think Sedanman has either. The action has gottne quite a bit lighter but there is still some racing going on.

EZRidn - It was nice meeting you and was fun racing that T-Type with you in the car

cool race, you should beat him good, but with your trap, the ls1 could be a handful on the big end, i know he was stock, but light modded ones have trapped 108, regardless good kill.

Wonderful run man. Always love a good race. I'd have thought he could be getting a little better than 13.6s from that car, but oh well.

Yeah it was a lot of fun. I to thought that the LS1 should have been able to muster a better time but thats his problem not mine

Coupe50h my traps have come up a little now with some tunning and I plan on doing some dynoing tommorow in the hopes of improving my #'s even more.

5.0 patrol I am ready for a rematch anytime you want send me a pm and we can go screw around. And yeah the kill happened down at the S&S. I have a temp fix coming soon in the form of a 150 shot and fox lake ported trickflows, and a new cam The blower should go on and the end of next year now.

Smokedawg, long time no see we definately need to meet up and runem. Also have you gotten everything sorted out now?

I got the head back on its way to AFR so it will probably be another 2 months to get it back...I was wanting to have it completely done for World of Wheels this coming year but I dont know if its going to happen...

Question

sedanman, have you dynoed the car again? What was the tune and a/f ?? What has been your best trap speed (1/8 and 1/4)? Also, what does your car weigh with you in it?

yea that was funny. A 13.6 @ 101 is not bad for a stock A4. I haven't known a stock auto 5.0 pull a time like that
