Default red cavalier and 5.0

Cruisin around last night I racked up 2 kills (more like 1 1/2). First was a red cavalier with a wing and ground fx, neons, all that other ricer stuff. I pull up to him at the light and we look at eachother, he says he's running a turbo. Light turns green, I leave pretty much regular because my tires don't hook. i squeeze on it and shifted to 2nd at 4500, full throttle from there and blew by him like he was standing still (I could even hear his turbo). God those things are slow. Second was coming home, I saw a black 5.0 just like mine, so I pull up next to him, we're both going ~40mph. I give it a little rev and drop it into 3rd and takeoff, he doesn't follow. Oh well, I slow up to tell him nice car and when he gets near my bumper I heard him downshift, I do the same, back into 3rd and we both ran up to 90, I edged him out just a little bit in the end. Come up to another light, he puts his turn signal on, and both give eachother thumbs up. I love how us Mustang owners love to race, but don't want to kill eachother and have respect for others rides.

Geez i wish the mustang people around here had good sportsmanship. About 8 times out of 10 other stang owners pretty much tell you to F*** OFF! There arent many decent stang people around here.

Oh yeah theres this guy i see all the time around my neighborhood that has a pink cavy and he insists it is his girlfriends. I see the car like 4 times a week and he's always driving it. Yeah i really think thats his GF's. We raced him once and hes like What year stang is that? and then he starts mouthing off the performance parts on the cavy. His girlfriends car is slow and looks gay but at least the guy had a good attitude!

Are you sure it wasn't one of those rice-boy sound effects thingies?

I'm not a chevy guy, but its hard to believe that someone would take the expense of putting together a turbo kit for a Cavalier....

What's next, a Yugo with a 200 shot on it?
It'll go fast down the track.... once.

Default ignorance?

Please excuse me for my ignorance, but there aren't any factory turbo'ed Cavaliers are there?

Beats me, I guess I assumed it was aftermarket because of all the other typical ricer stuff the car had on it. Also, I've never heard a factory one whine that much, yet again, I've only heard the factory ones once or twice.

When I'm out cruising, I always see some stangs. I make sure to give them a wave and they usually give a wave back. It's kinda cool...like an extended family.

Sometimes when I honk and wave in a friendly (nonaggressive) manner, they just stare back like "what's with him?". So I know what 3rdstang means. Usually though, it's a wave and big smile back I'm happy to say.

Hey Stang Crazy where do you live at LOL I'm moving there! I have ran across some nice mustang people but I als ran across many many mustang people I wouldnt care to meet again.

As far as i know there hasnt ever been a factory turbo'd cavalier. The most HP and performance modded cav is a Z24 which are quick but definately not a threat to a mustang. A V6 stang would proabably take it.

Actually, I'm in Bridgevlle now. It's prolly 20 miles from the heart of the city. I wouldn't be too excited about moving to Pittsburgh. This city is B-O-R-I-N-G!!! The nightlife is alright but there is only so many times you can go to the same clubs/bars. Know what I mean??

Default turbo'ed cavalier

Cavaliers never came from the factory with a turbo. However, RKSport now makes a kit for the 2.4 liter GT's. It is a single turbo that claims 250 horse. that's not in addition, but total on an otherwise stock gt. which stock is 150 horse. the kit is almost 4 grand, i looked into it for my "wife's" car.
