BMWs are flat out fast...
Bro, don't feel bad about losing. M3s are suppost to be fast... after all, the 'M' represents BMW's motorsport division (their version of SVT basically). Any factory BMW with the prefix letter M in front of its number designator will be shockingly quick. Even the early 4 cylinder M3s packed a 192 hp punch. I harrass BMWs whenever I get the chance. Was leaving work one day and a late model 3 series (I don't think it was an M3, but was something fast nonetheless) was riding my *ss on the on ramp, so I brake-checked the fellow. Once we hit the highway he tried to pass me, but I downshifted and kept ahead of the guy. Then I pulled in front of him and brake-checked the guy again. He was honking and shouting and pissing and moaning, but that's what he gets for $%(*ing with a twin cam cobra. At least your dude was cool about the ordeal... I probably have a price on my head in the BMW community now = )

I would think you should run around 99-100MPH now though. One major thing to keep in mind. When another car gets the jump and as a consequence also gets the momentum jump. It is very hard to keep up with the car if the matchup is very even. Mustangs are about the holeshot. Get some sick suspension mods are bury him off the line. |
