Rice retard

Last night on my way over to my girl's house, I found myself cruising next to a new Honda Civic that looked a lot like the one in Gone in 60 Seconds. It was blue with a huge wing, wheels, a fart can, and it had some crazy projector beam headlights. I have seen this car parked outside a car stereo shop next to a very fast 930 slant nose a lot, so I figured he might have a little something under the hood.

I was in the right lane and the car in front of me slowed down to turn, so of course he does a flyby. When the car got out of my way, a rammed it in first and caught up to him. He started to slow down, so I thought he was going to give me a run. Slowed down to 20 or so, and I gave the horse a little spur to get her to buck and let him know that I wanted a piece.
This dumbass wouldn't even run, so I just left his *** and took some corners at frightening speeds to relieve some frustration.

They are always pizzing me off. Flyby's suck, and so do the people that do them. Nice way to releave some stress.

He probably wasn't worth your time or effort.
Remember, we are talking about a Honda civic. How fast can they be? They certainly can't be any match for a '00 GT mustang...can they?

Couldn't hang without forced induction, but this thing looked like a lot of money was spent on it...
I'm guessing he didn't have a turbo or blower, though, and that's why he wouldn't race when we had an even start.

Yeah, most of those imports aren't worth crap without the turbos.
I guess it's the same as a V-8 car using NOS to win races because his engine doesn't have enough HP without it.

I raced an MR2 TT last weekend (probably the only race worth mentionning this season yet) from a light and clobbered him so bad, he did not want to pull up next to me at the next light... stayed right behind my car.

hehehe... I guess some will fly by, some will hide.

Civics are jokes. Why would you try to make an economy car be fast. What is the point. Yah, with a **** load of money anything can be fast, but why not start with something worth investing some money in?

Inferno, you are a rice boy.

Lizard King 03-28-2001 10:50 PM

Actually, I kinda disagree with you tra9379.

One of my good friend has an older Civic (like 94) coupe, with everything "appearance" stock (wheel covers, cloth seats and everything else) is very fast and well under the price of my car. This guy dropped a Mazda 626 turbo, Saab Waste gate valve, Holy fuel pump, ... you get the picture.

It's been "custom" put together (to say the least). He ran a 13.72 at the track with a 60ft of 2.5 seconds. This car is nuts. Sleeper, but killer.

I barely held on to my rice burner stickers ... I ran a 13.69 on the weekend after.

With my car being at least $10-15K more expensive, it not a bad deal for a mechanics car.

I can see the flames shooting up now.

I would never consider being a 4 banger front wheel drive, and I look at every opportunity to burn rice... but I gatta admit that some of those rice rides actually are fast, and some are nice looking.

Taste is subjective.

Actually the ones I mostly look out for are the primered CRX's with some steel plain rims and a mean sounding engine(for a 4 cyl)

LincoConti87 03-29-2001 01:02 PM

You know I think honda civics are cool just not the people who drive them or screw them up. I think its kinda like entertainment to watch how many stupid ways you can screw one up. I wish I had a little money so I could make my Lincoln just quick enough to beat some of them without dropping in a HO 5.0 so I can see the look on their faces that a 4000 pound boat beat em.

twincam 05-11-2001 06:20 PM

Well, it seems to me that someone doesn't know anything about MR2 turbos. They never came with twin turbos. They came in single. Some pople make the misinterpretation when they read "Twin Entry Turbo" on the engine block, sorry. That is just the setup for the intake. But, you seem to have such as huge ego to beat a so-called MR2 twinturbo. But if a 4.6 V-8 beating a 2.0 turbo or 2.2 n/a 4-banger is good news for you...well then more power to you. But, you know something...an MR2 turbo WILL rarely lose from a start...sorry man...but the mid-engine layout will smoke you....top end, who knows....but how do you know if this guy was turbocharged or not...just guessed..I hate to break it to you...but you were racing the 135hp normally aspirated MR2.......better luck next time....
and by the way..a rare twin turbo MR2 will totally blow you away.....I've seen some..and trust me...you won't have a chance....

don't hate !

Why do we still argue with the import guys? Some of them just don't get the fact that there are some of us are not going to admit that a front-driven four cylinder econobox is superior to any mustang on any day.

tra9379, get a clue man.

inferno may say some **** that I don't agree with, but he's no ricer. Course maybe if you hang around long enough you'll get an understanding of that. Playin the devil's advocate on a domestic performance car board along with adding input and knowledge is something he's been doing for a while now.
