Post Rules of raceing..?.

So what are all the ways to get a race?
What flash your light, rev... what?

OK.. I've wondered about this for the longest.
How do you really rev, and make sure the other person heard it?
Like with Automatics you have to put it in park to REALLY rev right? How do you do it manuals?

WHAT????? You can't be serious?

Auto: Put in N (Neutral) + depress gas pedal = rev

Manual: Push in clutch + depress gas pedal = rev

Well, basically when your street racing and your at the light just rev your engine, you dont flash lights or anything. Just tap the gas a bit, to get a good sound. And since street racing is ILLIGAL make sure there are NO cops around and your doing it at a street where there is at least room to do it in a somewhat safe manor if you can use safe and street racing in the same sentince. Um... and i guess that should get you started. Whenever i race if i get my butt whipped or do the butt kicking i always give a thumbs up or a nod of respect. Pretty much everyone i have seen do the same unless they are stuck up.

One thing that isn't cool is BLOW-BYS.

This is when you beat the other person. You slow down to avoid a cop noticing or pedestrians etc. The other person(loser) speeds up and flys by you at the freekin' speed of light.

I think BLOW-BYS also refers to some idiot who just flys by you at mach 1 and then expects you to catch up.

Please correct me if I have it wrong. I don't street race much at all. I am only concerned about the timeslip.

If there is no one around and your car isn't that loud let 'em know you wanna race by peelin' the tires. Then stick out your tongue! j/k!

The best way to intiate a race is to kinda of pounce foward about a foot. If that doesnt do it, then rev and creep foward, stop and repeat. That usually eggs on anybody. Experience guys...Experience.

Cool

Roll down your window and ask the person politely if they wish to engage themselves in an automobile race with you......if that doesn't work, poke fun at his/her momma j/k......no, but really, be smart, make sure you're not "baiting" or getting baited by an undercover, I've heard some funny stories about that!

"Excuse me sir, but would you like to organize a test of speed between our fine motorcars?"
"That would be great fun!"
"All right! James, we are going to race this chap in the next lane, give the Rolls all shes got."
"Yes, sir, I'll do what I can. Be careful not to spill your chardonay."
