Not sure about "SUPER subs", but most ANY subframe will make such an outstanding improvement.
When I put in the KB subframes, even my WIFE noticed (and I didnt tell her to look for anything)! THATS a huge difference. Just get ANY subframes, and WELD them in.

I think that I'm gonna have to look into subframes too.
I don't have a high HP application whatsoever but my ***-end won't stay down sometimes. Is there anything else you guys can recommend to help with this before I do anything to add more power? I don't want to waste money on more HP if I can't even get it to the ground.

Absolutely. KB SuperSubs are worth every penny.
Welded a set under my 95GT and it was a definite improvement. You know when you launch how one front corner seems to raise before the other. That will go away with a set of these. I would've never believed they could make that much difference if I didn't have the first hand experience with them. I know there are many brands to choose from, but I can say for sure that if I ever need another set, they'll be KB supersubs. |

MadOnion - sub frame connectors are welded (preferred install) to the bottom of a car. All unibody vehicles have a tendency to twist when acceralating fast or simply turning a corner. Sub frame connectors eliminate the twisting of unibody.
We put some Kenny Brown subs on our 88GT and noticed an immediate difference. |

Thanks for the help.
BTW, do you guys/girls mod your cars by yourselves, or do you have a mechanic? Where did you go to get a brace welded to your car?

I do all the work myself with my father. We have this and a jeep wrangler. It is my way of releaving stress and spending time with dad. We weld too but I think most shops can help you also.

People are usually happy to help or at least answer questions for you. Then again are there drag strips and car clubs on the dark side of the moon ? |

MadOnion - Most performance shops can weld up the KB subframes for you.
My son and I are building up an 88GT as a project car. I've got some experience with 60/70s Mustangs hot rods. The neat part about hot rods - there's always somebody around that is willing to share info and help you with your project. We go to a local mustang performance shop that's honost, does great work, and has reasonable prices. You will find this board to be a great resource for you. These guys/gals on mustangworks have helped my son and I so many times. |

Yeah Madonion just start asking questions on this board. The more you ask the more will be answered and there are alot of people on this board that really know what they are talking about
Goodluck! Later, Nick

Thanks for the support.
I hope by the time I buy a car (Feb/March) I will know more about what I'm getting into. I'm learning more and more everyday.

I bought my super subs directly from Kenny Brown's shop out here in Indy, and its about the only thing I would ever buy from that ******. There was a recent article in our newspaper about him, and he was whining because his business wasn't doing well. Well if he wasnt such a dick and his prices weren't through the ******* roof, then maybe he'd get some more business.
Ok, done venting now I had my subframes welded on at a muffler shop for like $10, by the way. Oh yah, and MadOnion, I'm was in the same boat as you before I joined this board. None of my close family members or friends knew a thing about cars. But I had always had the passion to learn. Then a friend at work a few years ago showed me this site, I joined, and have been learning tons ever since. Unlike most other message boards, the guys (and gals) here wont make fun of you or start a flame war if you ask, what seems to them, a dumb question. So ask away, we won't make fun of you (too much anyway)

I got my Super Subs from Lonestar Performance. They were on sale at the time for $85 + s/h. My uncle welded them in for me. As for the rest of the car, I had the cam degreed at a local engine shop, but I've done all the wrenching on everything else.
