Default Saubaru

I do not know how to spell it. But how fast are the Suburus? The ones with the big scoop on the hood. The look like midget station wagons. How fast are they?

The little wagon you refer to is the Impreza WRX. Makes decent power and is quoted anywhere from a 99+ gt to a 96-96 gt in terms of 0-60. Watch out though, because a little boost work goes a long way.

Buddy of mine has one, and I drove it last weekend. Felt faster than the Mustang, but I was driving them back to back at 8,000 feet. We are going to race at sea level this winter.

the wrx. comes in sedan or wagon trim. most are sedans. we'll talk 5 spds, cause the autos make it tough to access boost when desired.

bone stock, magazines quote them at 14.1 in the quarter. however, that is most likely with a 6k rpm clutch drop. a friend of mine ran a 14.7 stock. mid 14's is a reasonable expectations.

it is a turbo, so it is very tuneable and the car has quite the aftermarket.

my friend has one and expects to break into the 12's for the first time tonight. he is running the stock turbo (not at stock boost level, though) and has NOS (yes, it is Nitrous Oxide Systems brand). i don't know what size shot.

i also have an acquaintance that runs 7's in the 1/8th. i watched him run a 7.87 in the beginning of the summer and i hear he's done some stuff since then. He is running an upgraded turbo.

Default 14.3

I ran one at the track a year or so ago. It was stock and went 14.3 at 90 something mph.
