Post Saw some beautiful F355 tailights

Stopped at a light tonight, I am looking around and happen to notice something two cars behind me and in the other lane. Light turns green and I go slow in anticipation of what the mystery car will be. As it passes beside me, my jaw drops. It's a red Ferarri F355 Spyder. He gets some room and hops in front of me and gets on it a little bit. Just teasing me.

The light up ahead turns red and I speed up to catch him. There is a truck in the right lane but the left lane is empty. The guy takes the left lane and I slide in behind him. The light turns green and we both take off normal. Then I give it a little bit of gas and chirp into second.

As soon as I hit second, the Ferarri got on it. I was with him for about a quarter of second gear. He just plain left me.

As the gorgeous F355 sped off, I just laughed to myself. I had had my *** handed to me by a Ferarri...and I loved every minute of it!

But it did make me realize that I need some 4.10's. BAD! I think I could take a short nap while I'm S-L-O-W-L-Y climbing through second

Finally. I swear every video clip, every post I've ever seen has somebody beating the F355. Sorry it had to be you, but just once I'd like those cars to win. LOL

I had some guy in a Porche 911 remind me why he paid so much more for his ride in the highway a while back. Nice taillights though, not sure what the front looked like...!-|

Question

What did that Ferrari sound like when it was pulling away from you? It must have sounded sweet! I know what the F355 Spyder looks like, but what does sound like?

It actually sounded kinda like a ricer but with a more exotic note to it. High pitched but VERY NICE. He made my night. I can't wait till I can beat cars like that!

Thumbs up

Sorry guys, but I had to butt in again. That Ferrari is sweet! 3.5 liter DOHC V8 you can rev to 8800 rpms, Mmmm baby. I'm buying a 4.6 DOHC Ford for my Mustang. But until then, I found a place in Las Vegas that will rent a F355 for 5 hrs for $500 or 25 hrs for $750. I'm going to Las Vegas, renting the F355, gambling and going to the Bunny Ranch. Dixie Cups and Kendra Jade here I come.

The Ferrari F355 is a 3.5L DOHC 40 valve V-8. 375hp@8250rpm, 268lb/ft@6000rpm (also seen 266lb/ft@5800rpm).

Should run high 4's 0-60, and the quarter in the low 13's at about 110mph. (According to the mag guys) I would guess those cars are pretty damn finicky, so a really good driver could probably pull more out of it, but who knows? Top speed is around 180mph.

Actually, only about 2700 posts to go. Topless in TX seems to be another post maniac on the board right now though, lol. Even with her posting umpteen times a day it will be about 600 days before she hits where I'm at right now.

LOL, that's right on with your pace or so. Unfortunately, you're 5 posts a day, and her 4.6 posts a day. Unfortunately, at the current pace, I'll still be about 1700 posts ahead in two years at about 5100. LOL.

Cool

Yep, with a trap speed that will get a stang low 12's with traction.

They aren't 1/4 mile drag machines, they are road race cars. That and try to hang with them to 180mph!! LOL.

LOL....This is funny because I responded to a post at www.clubsi.com where a blown SI beat a F355(1/4) and I said "big deal, if you want to impress me beat it to 180mph".

The true test of the F355 is 100+. For most of us it would be real tough to beat him to 140. You may beat him in the 1/4, but with 3.73 or higher, he'll be gone after the 1/4.

I'd like to know what the F355 does 80-140mph in.

It's cool to see them on the street, they sound great too!
