First race with new motor... vs 94-5 cobra

Now I'm psyched! I just took a 5.0 cobra both in a 40-90mph run (1.5 carlengths) and off the line... we werent side by side at the light bc there was one person that beat us up there, but I braked and got behind him. I let him get about 2 carlengths off the line for a little space then jumped on it. Even with my pathetic 3.00 geared open rearend, I had to let off shortly into 2nd to keep from tailending him. And this was a 5 speed car - guess the new motor is quicker than I thought it was!

Cleveland motors are runners. A well built Cleveland would put a hurtin' on a well built Windsor.

Very true, and it seems 95% of these late model 5.0 guys seem to think it's the other way around... sorry for the delayed response - I just got back from Bradenton.

yeah, to bad they didnt develop that engine more.. 400RWHP, N/A isnt a prob..if only.. huh?
