Short Race With vette

Went cruising the beach for about an hour but no car action there cause traffic so slow. I needed gas but beach gas stations are 10 cent a gallon more so i left beach area and was in right hand lane to turn into the hessmart and left lane was moving and a lt1 vette rev'd as he passed. well i had to return the favor so i changed lanes and got behind him leaving a light but he had traffic in front so we couldn't go then. The car in front was nice enough to signall his turn so I got into 2nd and i saw when he hit it cause it shot out a cloud of black smoke. I short shifted 2nd and just got into 3rd when he back off cause he couldn't pull from me. No idea what year but i know it was an lt1 convertable vette and he had his g/f there and after the run they glanced back and i held my hands up like i was saying "Thats All"
