To tell if it is a W or C an very easy way is to look at the fuel pump.

If the attaching bolts are side by side [ 3 and 9 o'clock] it's a W.
If the attaching bolts are verticle [ 12 and 6 o'clock] it's a C.

The cleveland had the timing cover built into the block.
Cleveland has wider valve covers too.

A 302 Boss was a 302 Windsor block with Cleveland heads and a unique manifold adapted to it.
