![]() The race is lined up for this Friday night at the local track and I wanted to get some thoughts on who will win.
First, some quick background: The Grand Prix GT is a 2000 with the 3800 V6. Mods include no catalytic converter, SLP exhaust, home-made cold air intake and I think that's it. The guy driving this car is a good fried of mine who has alot of experience at the track. With only the CAI, he has gone as quick as 15.18 @ 87.xx, but usually runs in the 15.40 range in hot & humid weather. It should be much less humid and cool this Friday evening. The GTS is a 6 speed (I believe) with no mods and the driver has NEVER been to the track. However, the GT is going to let the GTS have a couple practice runs before they go head to head. So who do you think will win and why? There has been major trash talk on both sides so either way it will be fun to watch. NOTE: Sorry to post this boring topic, but my Stang is currently out of commission until probably Saturday - that's when the new flywheel, clutch and Tremec get installed! WOO HOO! ![]() Thanks, E ------------------ 1991 5.0 LX Coupe - 38,000 miles 13.17 @ 106.14 mph w/ 2.138 60' |
