LS1 Vette on the bottle and moded Z06 vrs WS6 on the bottle
Had some fun last saturday. I don't know what shot the vette is squeezing but I'm running a hundred. I ran him before a couple weeks ago and beat him 2 for 2.
We line up and are flagged off. I pull him out of the hole cause of my ET Streets. He has an auto so his launch is not bad. He's about a length back. We run to the quarter mark and he's in my blind spot when we finish. He said he was catching me at the end. I don't think he was but it was a much closer race than last month. After some drama at the starting line the Z06 and I lined up. We are flagged off and again I came out of the hole first. He was running 315 Nitto Drag radials. I grab second and I'm a half a car length ahead. I go to grab third and miss, NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! He goes shooting by. I get out of it. He's to fast to try and make up a missed shift. This is my second loss to him. I finally ran a Supra there also. Off the nitrous of course. He's a good kid and we went 1 for 1 against each other. All I had to do to beat him was launch at a higher RPM. ET Streets are great even when not heated. I have no idea what the Z06 has done to it but he traps at 118. Its a 2001. I'll find out soon. He's a nice guy and they usually spill the goods after hanging out a couple weekend nights racing together.

E.T. streets.
were you suprised they worked well unheated? E.T. streets are slicks with two lines down the center that make them street legal. as far as the missed gear. you shoulda ran him again, double or nothing. sounds like a fun night nonetheless. i am also interested in hearing about the supra? was it a turbo or TT?

I think those Z06's are reported to trap up about there stock, aren't they? Doesn't it suck, most of the time the most important run is the one you miss a gear on, dangit!
Nice kills on the rest of the squad! |

I don't know much about the Supra except it is a turbo. The kid is young you know still all pimply faced and all. At 34 I think I have graduated to the old side of the tracks. I see the kid all the time so I'll poke into it next time out. He hangs with a group of turbo Supras. One guy had an incredibly built one! The biggest set of twin turbos I had ever seen. He also had twin nitrous tanks under the rear hatch. His license plate read DRIFT. He was set up for road racing but was out watching us run.
