I am stunned that you came to mustangworks and made valid points , maybe you are not the typical ricer that I thought you were. But I still doubt you pulled a 97 cobra.

Welcome to The MustangWorks guys. There are some LS1 drivers around, and its all a pretty good time.
Have either of you run your cars in the 1/4? I'm interested to know how fast they are out of the hole. I don't do highway races, the CHP are pretty brutal on tickets over 100, especially exhibitions of speed.

I thought that the stories/replies on the acura-cl.com site were going to be ridiculous, but i was impressed. I hope you acura owners (at least all who read this) will feel free to post on this site. it's nice to hear some more/new opinions especially from other types of vehicle owners. A good example is Inferno, who's been around awhile and i think owns like a supra and used to(?) own a CRX.
I do have to say though i doubt beating the cobra, but then again i wasn't there to see it.

Anything can beat anything else when considering the driver and amount of money invested....

Silver, TypeR... You guys are DEFINATELY welcome here anytime you want to post. And don't worry about a few stang guys on your site.... we're all pretty friendly, we just have to defend our "slow" Mustangs... hehe....

Well, basically this is what happened. It was 85-90 degrees, 90%+ humidty, and the track was slick for some reason. I got to the line, had my car ready, I launched, I took off like I use to in my previous cars, if they were auto, just stab it off the line, (torque braking seems to not work well), well I spun like mad, no traction at all. I let off, and lightly go into it. Well that was a umm 16+ sec run. heheheh. Okay, so all my other runs I basically went easy into the throttle. Slowly pushing it to the floor, the car did accel very slowly instead of dropping the hammer like I have on the street. I got a 15.3 consistantly with that, but only good muster a 92 trap speed. 2.4-2.6 60s. I saw a 500hp supra only hitting 15s but with a 119mph trap, he also was spinning bad. So the track was bad. The conditions were poor as well. I know alot of people have hit mid to high 14s stock in this car, so I am hoping for a better time. My previous car was a 2001 Maxima 5spd, I hit 14.83 at 94.6 mph with a 2.36x 60ft. It was stock. Conditions were good for those runs.
