problems
Need Help.
Just did a clutch job on my 93 GT and now I have a hard time shifting into gear. Sometimes it goes in easy and sometimes it goes in hard. Sometimes it grinds in reverse but sometimes it doesn't. I put in a new OEM flywheel, centerforce II clutch and pressure plate, centerforce throwout bearing, pilotshaft bearing, and a used transmission from an 89 GT. Wondering why I am having a hardtime shifting sometimes. Tried putting shims on my stock non adjustable clutch cable, 3 shims made the trans not shift at all, 1 shim kinda shifts almost smooth but still noticibly rough, seems better than no shims. Don't know if its the transmission thats bad or If I need an adjustable cable and quadrant. Don't want to spend money on an adjustable quad if that isn't the problem. Anybody ever have this problem, please let me know what to do, I really need help and fast. e-mail mustang_gt2nv@yahoo.com |
