Unless he has an automatic tranny you'll jump him off the line and he will have to play catchup and in 1/8 mile there not much room and/or time!! especial if your running 75-100 shot.
what times do you run??

Well he has a stout little package there, but in the 1/8th its definately all you with that nitrous torque. With his power to weight ratio, I would think he has a possible mid-low 13 sec car with really good traction.
Most the turbo imports around here don't really start pulling till the top of 2nd gear. By that time, in an 1/8th miles race, I would definately put my money on you. You have the torque advantage to pull you out through first, so don't get over excited and smoke'em. In a 1/4 run I would expect it to be a close run. Throw some race gas in the tank and give the 100 shot a whirl if you are that worried about losing.

Miatas weight just under 2100lb-2300lb depending on the year and packaging. If there were any import to take notice its a maita...light weight rwd and lots of potential. Is that 260hp at the wheels or flywheel?
Just for refference there is a 250whp Turbo Miata here that runs low low low 12's

I bet its a basic turbo kit and he THINKS it makes 250Hp. If he wants to race in the 1/8mi., tell him you will do it for 150$. See where his balls are then.

They can be farily fast it all matters how it is setup tho..... And a Trubo dont mean it is slow off the line at all it all maters how it is setup And MOST are slow off the line tho.. As they dont have a clue what they are doing LOL But I say Race him and have fun doing so and might want to run the 100shot to be sure

The setup has something to do with it, but its more about the driver. The Driver is the biggest part of the equation.
14psi on a stock BP motor?? HA 3 2 1 Kaboom. (BP= 1.8L DOHC mazda) I hope he doesnt plan on running pump gas, or his motor to last for very long.

Like I Said it is how it is setup... I Know what i am Talking about... It dont matter What parts you have well some what but it is how they all work together that matters how fast it will be. yes Even Small Trubos can be made fast.. with the right EX Intake and so on.

this guy cant drive
well we went to tha track last night, the last night they were opened for test and tune i might add and got there early so we could line up, first run i ran 9.17 and he ran an 11.23 lol im suprised this dip shi% had any tires left on tha damn thing,i guess has never been to the track before so i gave him another chance and i pulled a 8.92 at 73 this all on straight motor by the way i never went to get my bottle filled, he ran a 10.37 and ripped his clutch out in the process haha, he barely got the thing home haha, i guess if he learns to drive and gets a clutch he might do better because his trap speed was 67 on the first run and 69 on the second, id say it might do mid to low 9s, he does have nice little set up on there though i believe it was a garret turbo kit,its probably wicked fast in the 1/4 if he could get it tuned, and believe it or not he gave me the 50 bucks haha, you just dont know how good a newyork strip tastes when u pay for with money u won from racing someone who thinks they have the fastest car on the planet haha ,i guess we will give him another chance next year but he is gettin sprayed hehe....im gonna try and get you guys a pic of his car,its got the body kit and wing and all that crap, whatever happened to the good ol sleeper days?he could have a really nice clutch and some other nice goodies if he didnt wast his money on that 50 lbs of plastic hanging all over his car haha, oh well tell me what ya think.....peace

What a surprise, an import driver who can't drive, lol. I really can't say that though, as I have seen a good number of domestic drivers makes themselves look like asses too.
Instead of kicking his *** on the juice, you should just be cool and teach him how to drive so maybe he can earn some respect. But on the other hand, $50 is pretty sweet for making two runs!!!
