Carlsbad on Sunday (Dec. 1st)
I'm heading down there this Sunday, (after I change my clutch & T.O. bearing). If anyone else is interested in going post here and let me know who is going. I am in Orange County, so if enough people are interested in going, maybe we could caravan down there. Thanks, Keith

Sunday? When do they run on Sunday? As long as one of your cars actually runs, I'll go. Oh, and be afraid, be very afraid. All the 'tricks' will be in full effect.
BTW, I was door to door with a stock 93. Better hope you gots some serious balls from your Powerdyne.

Uh oh....
That's alright, I'll bet the guy had no idea he was racing the TURD! I'm not scared, as long as my car's running right. Hopefully more people will show. I'm not 100% sure that they run on Sunday, if not, we'll go on Saturday. I'm going to call them to see if they're open on Sunday, I'll let you guys know. Later, Keith

I read over at ls1.com that there are rumors of Carlsbad being shut down after this year. Apparently track officials are denying this via their phone recording, but word is they need a new owner.
This weekend is the last of this year for the track, and if there is truth to the rumor, the last weekend ever. I plan on being there, to run at least one more time on my home track. Sky, NO SLO PK, PKRWUD, et. al, anyone else care to make the journey? Sounds like a bunch of the local F-body guys are going to make a showing in its honor. Would be fun to overrun the place with v8's. Click here for ls1 thread

Call me. There is a Denny's right off the freeway here, and I'm too lazy to drive north.

I'll call you Mike, but .....
hopefully we can get other people to go too. I posted a thread on LS1.com asking if anyone else wanted to go, but I can't be sure of who's going and who's not. I am going to have to take my s/c off on Sunday and send it to Powerdyne and have them inspect it. I realized the problems I'm having have nothing to do with my clutch, so I won't be changing them out after all. Mike, I'll be there this time, so be ready to be OWNED!!!! Later, Keith

Let me get this straight, you're going to race me with a messed up s/c? Is it still making the noise? Why not just pull your intake stuff off the 88 and have a car that you won't break Saturday?

Mike....
Damn you, you jinxed me! While driving home for lunch, the sound started getting bad. I may not make it after all this weekend. I'm going to try and switch out the air hose/ filter/ etc.. from my 88 to my 93, and see if that works. There are a lot of things attached to the S/C, so it might be better for me to take the 93 apart and leave it the same way until I get the S/C back. Powerdyne is located in Lancaster, so I may just bring it there myself. Mike, I'll pm you with details as I get them about the track on Saturday. Later, Keith

I think you might be able to run the tubing that's there. I'll look at the pictures I took, but I think it'd be possible to run that k&N right on the other side of the mass air, where the outup from the s/c is now. Then all you would have to do is put the s/c right back there when you get it back.
The only thought I have is about the meter itself. You might need to switch that back to the stock one too, but those should be the only changes. I'll check the picture tonight to be sure. Either way, You're going!
