Cool 11.98 with 1.5 four four 60ft

Tonight I have redeemed myself.
1st pass 11.987 @ 111.59 1.544 60ft 7.60 @ 88.79 1/8th
2nd pass 12.001 @ 111.43 1.58 60ft 7.64 @ 89.46 1/8th

1.544 is my best to date 60ft. I stoped to check air pressure at the air station, I got swamped with people congradulating me. I felt great, I am happy, I think I am going to sleep well tonight

No S***! Congratulations, that's damn impressive with the combination you have. Suppose you'll have to get a 6-point?

Far out, dude! Great job.

What do you launch at? 4800? 5000? Just curious.

Thumbs up

How much nitrous are you using? Its weird that you are only picking up 3 mph with the juice especially since you have a 2700 # car.

So what was wrong with the car?

i think he is just running a 50-70 shot of nitrous and also he has 4.30 gears so he's probly topped out at 111-112 mph in 4th gear but he sure gets there in a hurry!!

Cool

I launched at 3800 - 4200 somewhere in there the first pass. On the vidieo it is bad to the bone, it carried the tires a good little piece. The 2nd pass I tried 5500 but the track was cold, it had been shut down for about 35 mins and I was first up. Yes 4.30s and with the 26" slicks it is on the rev limiter at 111 mph. I will get a set of 28x9s soon. I did up the shot from 70 to 100. But also on the 2nd pass it blew the FPR hose loose and that may have caused part of the trouble on that pass. I really felt that an 11.70 was possiable. I can't wait for the S-charger to sell so I can order some AFRs.

88workcar,
I noticed in your user ride section you say you have a Pyle Bro's rear. Is Pyle Bros a chain? The reason I ask is there is one right around the corner from where I live. I thought they were only local. That is an awsome time for the mods you have shown. How the hell did you get all the weight out of your car? Mine weighs 3185 without me in it and about 3460 with me in it.

Cool

As far as I know that is the only Pyle Bros.
The weight, when you get serious the weight will go away. I have no regrets. I gave up all comforts, all luxeries, and as much weight as I could safely do with out. I have a severe buget, the motor cost me $400.00 from a salvage yard. The heads had the hump in the exhast ports removed. And it has a E cam in it. I put my cobra intake and 65mm TB. I have a race crank pully and only turn the alt, and water pump. I have drag suspention and slicks. It is going to be lighter and more powerful very soon.
