no big deal
i ran a porshe 911 this weekend from a 10 mph roll, i left him pretty easily. i thought that those germans were supposed to be rockets? i even let him get a small jump anyway, its sure a pretty thing, just didnt impress me much.

nice kill man!! watch out for those twin turbo 911's tho, they're pretty damn fast. i believe the 97's or so were like 400hp and ran low 12's, and the new ones are faster, so keep an eye out!!
later

He never said it was the 911 turbo and he should have no trouble with a regular 911. And as far as a camaro posting on a mustang website, go visit LS1.com, they had to create a seperate section because they have so many mustang guys posting there.
Welcome and good kill.

i came here about 3 months ago and...
i found a great bunch of guys that liked all types of fast cars, i have not visited you all in a little while as my job and activities are catching up with me. (i am a ase master tech at a chevy dealer) i off road a lot and i have a new addiction to handguns that i'm dealing with
i dont think that this car was a twin turbo, he did know we were racing. gtjeremy, i will let your remark pass because you are obviously a kid or immature adult. please refrain from slamming me because i drive the car that i chose because of my job, the performance advantage stock for stock, and the 7000 dollars off i got from retail(includes 3000 rebate). i am a veteran street racer, not a kid with tall tails. 1bad89, thanks for the props, this car is stock except for t-stat and throttle body stop mod. that 12.97 was on a 40 deg night on stock f1 radials. i like this sight because of the laid back and kind, courteous chat. lets keep it that way.

Nice kill, good job.
I had the luck to get ahold of a 911turbo. I was a 13.8 car at the time. He could not drive and kicked the crap out of me. I'd love to find him now.

traction control is on my car but it is no good for performance driving. i let my f1's down to 24psi and do a short burnout. then i launch. i have to give props to the staff at fayetteville motorsports park for their super track prep. they prep test and tune better than other tracks in the area do their race days. that is why i do not have drag radials, i dont need them at the track. i have launched my car at 3000 rpm and almost dumped the clutch with very slight wheelspin, almost none. i think that they put some kind of traction aid down, not sure. i had a 95 corvette with an art carr 9.5 inch convertor and ran a 1.70 short time on worn out to the cord bfg drags at fayetteville.(not 1.79 either, 1.70) i have not quite got into the 1's with this car, i have ran a 2.02 short time. i have to launch at 2000 r's on the street or i blow my tires off. when i spray this car, i will get some nittos on some spare 10 spokes if i can find some used ss wheels. this car is so much better than the lt1 cars that i have had, it is truly an awesome performance car. i spent 3 grand on a 94 z28 to run what this car runs stock.

cool those guy's are snob (except my bro)
one thing i learnt driving my brothers car at a porshe club event is that these guys almost never push there cars so they dont know what to expect when they do. my brother who's 49 going 50 this summer traded his 911 turbo for a carrera 4 (allwheel drive ) then twin turbod it it has a 6 speed has all the trick factory suspention and then some . looks cool standing still and i would trade my stand for it in a heart beat. (but couldnt afford it) also i have to thank him for the car bug he had a 56 chevy that he would take me racing in (single passes I was to young so he wouldnt street race with me in the car.) as far as fast cars who cares as long as there not front wheel drive with 5 inch tail pipes as far as the site goes hey someone totalled my stang would i be allowed her sure we still have the race only car . Im glad we have a gm mech to offer his opinions on some tech related things. when i had to get some turbo parts i had to go to a local Dodge GM place and as everyone was talking trash about my car a older machanic asked me to pull my car inside I explained i was there for a waste gate rod and he said he has seen the car at the track and wanted to show some mech in training something I pulled in popped the hood and he knew 90% about my car (i was impressed) and he gave me some good advice. his opinion is my clutch is slipping at the track this confirms my dad's suspitions and so we will be getting a new clutch set up all because a gm guy cared enough to look and ask. Ps he drives a killer 67 vette
