This weekends action (lots of racing)
So the weekend started out friday night. I cruise by the local hang out spot (Wendy's) to find a friend I know from school. He has a 2002 GT 5-speed, all he kept saying was how he could take me so easily. Well, he has like 20 people around his car, so I roll up to him, look over and say "You ready to do this?" with a reply of "Let's go," we were off, I follow him out to the street next to Wendy's (45 mph speed limit) and it was 11 at night so there was basically no traffic to worry about. He turned out first and got the jump on me. In first gear I pulled on him, shifted at about 5800 and in second we were dead the whole time, he shifted to 3rd a little earlier than me and started to inch forward, man these 2.73's are killing me. Anyways, were a decent match. So saturday night were talking to some people up at Wendy's when a blue twin turbo Supra w/mods pulled up with a full Blitz body kit. After talking to him for like 45 minutes I ask him to take me for a ride, he says no problem and we take off. As we're pulling out, a Viper passes us. He catches up to him and caught 3 lights with him. This guy beat him out of the hole and all the way threw 3rd, then the Viper's massive v10 was able to overpower the Supra and inch past him (we had by far tripled the speed limit by this time) What a rush! Then we go back and that 2002 GT is there again, so I told him this was a race for him. At this point everybody up there was into it. So we choose to go to a deserted road. We got out there, lined up the cars, had some cars down at a quarter mile with there headlights on and some at the start shining their headlights all over. This is the first time I've been part of an illegal street raced that was setup like this, what a rush. Anyways, the 02 GT spun bad off the line and ended up close to 10 car length's back. Overall, what a kickin weekend! ~Brian

Sounds like a blast. I would love to have been there to see the viper race. I've only seen two of those in my life and they were both behind ropes.

Yet, it sure was a blast! No times yet, I'd like to try to do a few more mods before I go to the track this year but I'll definately get some runs in this season. I'm not a huge fan of imports, but I have to give credit where credit is due, that Supra was a nice automobile. ~Brian
