Track times NO TRACTION
I only ran twice, traction was so bad it almost killed me it was pissing me off to much. Even guys with slicks were spinning! The car still needs to be tuned, the car was running really rich.
First run rt: .795, 60: 2.682 1/8: 10.495 mph : 80.06 1000: 13.188 1/4: 15.318 mph: 103.78 second run First run rt: .633 60: 2.367 1/8: 9.107 mph : 82.09 1000: 11.666 1/4: 13.728 mph: 105.34 well guys i guess the times show it if i cut the 60 foot down to 1.5's on slicks cut back on the fuel a little so i can get a little more mph and put in a steeper gear seeing that i am shifting into fourth about 150ft from gates. Also it was very very cold out. I should be able to see easy high 12's if not faster. We'll see what happens.

1.5's are not very easy to get even on slicks. Your mph shows that you are 12 second capable though.
With an easily obtainable 1.7 60ft you should hit a 12. Nice,

Very sweet... atleast you were pulling decent times with no traction. It's early in the season. Lots of time to improve.
Mind me asking what broke when you did a reverse burnout? lol I never thought of one doing it but it would be something stupid I would think of. lol -Sam.

well there was some grinding...Then when i went to rip away i then cracked the input shaft and bearing.... and a whole bunch of other stuff....oh well now it is sitting on the garage floor.
Also i have uppers and lowers to install, i am probally going to order some 4.30's aswell. To tell you the truth i was getting worse traction at the track then on the street..

Yea, i had the same problem, well not 2.6 60' bad, but i was spinning all the way thru 1st hitting the rev limiter, i went 13.5 @ 103 2.2 60' best that night, that was first runs with my new heads and cam combo, if i had gears and slicks id be in the 12.7's probaly.
at any rate, im fixing to get rid of my stock intak, and get some slicks, what kind of heads are on your motor? assuming they are gt-40's but are they iron? well keep it up, you'll see 12's easy, maybe 12.9 with a FATT drag radial.

there aluminum gt40 x heads, the ports are the size of ummm i think felpro 1262's. The car still needs a whole bunch of tunning and i am sure i can go deep into the 12's on slicks. I have some dr's so will see what happens this upcoming wedesday.
later
