Default I finaly got to race the Lexota!

We just happend to be leaving poker night at the same time and We got to run. Just to recap my earlier post....My friend has a 1.8T chipped Passat that beat my other friends bolt on 96-98 Cobra.

My friend in the Lexota raced the Passat 2 weeks ago and I was riding shotgun in the Lex. The lex put a carlength on him by the top of 2nd gear and stopped racing.

Tonight he was following me out of the tract and I made a right turn. I took the outside lane and kept it in 1st because I knew he wanted a piece. He got a good jump on me though because he floored it coming out of the right turn and I was waiting for him. So his front bumper pulls about 4 feet in front of mine and I step on it.

At first Im mad because I really wanted to run him from a light but he didnt even try to line up or pace me first. So hes ahead and Im thinking Im gonna lose the race But by the top of 1st I reeled in the jump he had and we were DEAD even. I speedshifted into 2nd a little early, I probably should have powershifted but I didnt want to screw it up and lose this one. The run through 2nd was extremely close and ended up with my front bumper being about 3 feet in front of his. I stopped there because the road gets twisty soon and I dont want to do something stupid. He just keeps nodding his head yes at me and saying "You got me man...You got me"

I really wanted to call up everyone else at poker night and tell em the results but I didnt. I hate people that gloat and This guy is cool.

Anyway, the Lexota is the quick one. The DOHC V8 with 300+hp He says theyre usualy good for a 14 flat. I believe its the GS400. It has the factory BBS wheels and I think its a 98.

Good kill. I have not seen them run 14 flat. I did race one about 1.5 years ago that had a stall, cat back, and intake and he was runnin' 14.4's @ 97.

Did you get a Pro 5.0 shifter yet?

I figured out which one it is. Its a GS430. The DOHC V8 with variable valve timing. 300hp

I finaly got the race I really wanted. I ran a new GT on my lunchbreak and won. The guy was pissed and his girl was laughing. I gave him a courtesy wave and he wouldnt look over but his girl waved back LOL thats hilarous.

Lol...same kinda story here with the girl. Raced some kid in a '01 GT. Obviously he didn't know how to drive to good, due to the excessive tire spin through 1st gear. But i still whomped on him, and he never waved back. Just did a blow by type of deal... But his girlfriend waved back, and it actually looked like she was laughing at him, or hitting him..

LOL that shizz hillarious! We ran from a slow roll in 1st till about 70 mph till the top of 2nd. I let off and when he drove by I threw him a courtesy wave but he wouldnt look over...his laughing girlfriend waved back though

Wow. I found out for sure yesterday. Its a 98 GS400 but it still has the same 300hp Variable valve timing V8.

He swears theyre good for low 14's but other ppl tell me otherwise. Even if they run mid 14's I still reeled in his jump and put a few feet on him.

No I havent got a shifter yet. I had a pro5.0 on my 95 and loved it but it just wasnt long enough. I had to constantly reach for the shifter. Im getting the Tri ax this time. It has a bend and its a little longer for better reach and ppl say it works quite well. Im getting a few bucks saved and plan on lowering it, installing 410's, and a set of pulleys after christmas. I think I'll get a custom chip burnt off the dyno after that since I dont want to do anymore engine mods. Maybe a shot of nitrous later but thats it.

I might just hit up Carlsbad this weekend too. See what she really runs.

Call them and ask them. They do make extentions for their shifters. For example, People who haev '03 Cobra's can get an extended handle.
