Default It had a "hemi" in it

Last night, 1/14/05, at HRP "street night", I lined up against a new Chrysler 300C. I had wanted to see how they run since they were first introduced. My own runs for the night were all 13.3-13.4 @ 102-103. That big ole 4 door ran like a bat out of hell. I only got him by 4-5 car lengths. On "street night" you only get your own time slip, so I'm estimating what his actual times were, but I'll bet it was high 13's and near 100 mph. I, for one, was rather impressed. I believe they weigh 4000 lbs. or more that the 345 hp "hemi" ( really a penta roof chamber from what I hear) had to move down the 1320.

Sounds like fun, and it sounds like that car moves pretty good.

Hey Rev, I might be moving the McAllen...Edenburg area.....I need to find out if the track there has a night like the one you went to. Sounds like a blast.

I can't to see what'll happen if they put that engine in a decent sports car platform... I heard one of those Hemi Magnum wagons with flows on it the other day and it sounded pretty mean!

My guess is that the best bet would be to do a search of NHRA drag strips. I think you would find a listing by states and/or cities. If the strip has a web site, it would tell you tell you if it had a "street night" or "test and tune" night (usually Friday I think). They are a lot of fun for not much $$$. And they are completely legal for a change, LOL.
