Dodge Ram
I don't know what it is, but for some reason, anytime it's wet around here all the people in their trucks think they are fast.
Last night I was out at my friend's place and when I left I had this new dodge ram messing around with me. It had the v8 tags so I figured 318 or 360, WOW. (note the sarcasm) When I pulled upto the lights he immediately did a nice brake torque and started revving his engine at me. I'm not the type to try anything in the rain, because I think its absolutely dangerous to do it, so I just left the light normally. About a mile or so down the road he pulls next to me again and revs some more. I just rolled into the gas (doing 35mph 50km/h) in 4th and my car's rear end let loose, so I motioned to the truck that he's nuts. He then sped up and did a nice fish tail that nearly took out a car in the opposite lanes. Is it just me or are these people scared to play around when its dry? I've seen this guy out before and he won't go near me when its dry. Sorry about the length but I needed to vent... |

When your tires let loose you were making a turn right?? I mean, letting them loose going 35 in 4th would be tough, even in the rain. Before I say anything that makes me look dumb(er), what mods you have?

It's just like the dorks that want to race in 5 o'clock traffic on the freeway when you can't do anything. Or the ones that stand on it when you get within 5 cars of them. I just get to where I don't want anything to do with them. I figure if they're that stupid, no telling what dumb thing they might do.

I once got a Dakota with a V8 to race me from a light I got him off the line by a half a car it stayed about there until around 80 or so then I pulled away. I suppose if I had my 5.0 that night it may not have been as close, I was driving my moms V6 stang hehe.

Actually it must just be they think their truck runs soooo much better in the rain. I mean that is the only time they'll spin the tires.
I raced a Eagle Talon Tsi AWD in the rain once. I lost.... bad. Then again, I don't think he was racing, and I was goofing around, so I don't think it counts. |

Right now I've got 3.73's, headers, exhaust, e7s, 89intake, mass air, hd clutch, etc... And the tires I have are just the good ol' Predator series 245-50-16's... I've always had a problem standing on it in 4th and losing the car (when it's wet of course).
