Damn, those Cobra's are just plain sweet. Wish I could afford the kit car. When I get a house with a garage my Dad is giving me his '63 427 medium riser with the dual quad. I think I'll look for an older Mustang, '69 preferably to stick it in.
My dad's 427 was rated at 425hp stock, the side oiler was re-rated by NASCAR at 500hp. Those kit cars weigh under 2500lbs. With 500hp if it hooks I don't even know what kind of times it'd run, 10's, 11's? Fast, real damn fast! The Maranello is no slouch either though. It cranks out a real 485hp. A 60* DOHC 60v V-12 can't be wrong! If people can launch, it's easy deep into the 12's. |
