Don't come here getting all pissed off cause someone called you on your 5.0 slaughter. Note: I don't hate ppl w/ V6s. But you're a bit over-optimistic. 82 gt (in his garage jacking to his 351 windsor that would get blown off the face of this earth by an ls1 351)-if the v6s are such **** , then i guess some 5.0s are **** since the v6 can keep up with it.

The only V6 99+ Stang I respect is the Kenny Brown one, and even the then he should not be modifying a V6.
I guess there are enough posers out there to justify that market move. I mean, look at Steeda, Saleen, SVT, Ford Racing, ... they don't show off any 6 banger Stangs. If you ask me Kenny Brown is a smart business man... , on other hand, it must suck to mod a V6 Stang. |

Hey, I am up for a challenge!!! I like those!! The only problem is that I am in Pa. and you are in NJ.
I know I am going to the Carlisle car show sometime in April. How about you? Maybe we can meet up there. I am dead serious. If you lived in my area I would be knocking at your door right about now and asking you to run your 'stang. Seriously dude, I DO WANT TO RUN YOUR STANG!! Any Ford V-6 for that matter. I know chevy and the imports make some nasty V-6's so I would hesitate on some of those, but Fords V-6 do not scare me. I love Fords and their mustangs but I am not impressed with the V-6 Sorry Do you want to run my '88 5.0 or my '82 GT with a 351W? Take your pick. I would suggest you opt for the '88 though to have a chance at this. Let me know how you want to meet up. ------------------ '82 GT 351W,BBK shorties, Comp Cam,edelbrock intake 625 cfm carter carb. c-4 tranny w/ pro stick shifter. 4 core radiator Mallory distributor. 3:27 ......................... |

So maybe us 5.0 owners don't give the v6 enough credit, but they aren't that fast. The 5.0 you beat must have been in bad shape, really bad. I think 2000 auto V-6 and V-6 Bandit are the same people. You are from the same place and registered at the same time..... hmmmmmmm
Anyone else notice this little scheme? Either that or you are BIG BROTHER coming to the aid of LITTLE BROTHER. Hey 2000 Silver,
Thanks for the compliments. Your opinion of my car means a lot to me. Thanks again. Oh, I didn't know you had an LS1 Camaro. Cool. Oh, wait a minute, you don't have one.... Well, my brother's girlfriend's mom has a friend who has a dog who's owner's son had a '98 V6 Firebird who could've smoked your V6 before it got wrecked. ------------------------------- '79 Mustang Coup 4" Cowl Weld wheels (15x6;15x8) Stock 5.8L C4 w/ shift kit 1.5" MAC full length headers Holley 750 CFM Edelbrock intake 2.5" Off road H-pipe, 2-chamber Flowmasters 8.8" Rear end w/ 3.55 gears (Now that's more like it!!) Thanks Dinomite and White 5.0L for helping out here. A stock V-6 beating a 5.0...(LOL)
Where do these people come up with these stories? This 2000 auto fag should write books with his imagiantion instead of writing silly post like this one. I wouldn't lose any sleep if this thread got closed because it is getting a little silly. What the HELL am I saying!!!!!! Man this is a funny thread alright. I like the crack about the 79 mustang looking ugly....gee its only the first year of the fox body mustang which also shared its body with the Lincoln Continental(mine),mark7,t-bird,cougar,fairmont....and it only lasted until 93....must have been a bad body type.If we left the world up to this guy ford would have made the mustang into the probe like it was planned originally before they got a brain and kept the V8 in the SN-95. I like how he compares the 351 windsor to a chevy 351 ls1....Chevy has a 350 5.7 genius. Since when does a fox body mustang with a 351 windsor get blown off the face of the earth by a camaro anyways? Your mustang would get blown off the face of the earth by a cow turd with a nitrous shot.
Now in all seriousness I think the new mustang V6s are pretty decent from what I have heard but come on...he got the jump on you and you then reeled him in and passed him? I think the guy needs a shift kit cus his tranny is probably shifting like the one on my Lincoln. I also wonder how many times you can power shift that V6 mustang to a 14.9 before it blows up. Yea its easier to get a V6 mustang into the 14's than a 4.6 dohc...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...THEN WHY DO THEY MAKE A GT MUSTANG? Must be for the different wheels |

I can't believe this is even a discussion. I have one thing to say DRIVING. I'm guessing this is your buddies first 5.0? Does he know the 1-2-1 shift? Everyone here has had that one night racing when everything went wrong. I will give you the kill, but race your friend again and see who wins.

Ok GUYS... Everyone needs to chill a little bit.
First off, I will be the first one to say this could be a kill. Ive seen a lot of AOD's run high 15's stock. There is an AOD NOTCH STOCK that ran 16.2 first time out on Corral. Check the post. The guy may not have 1D1 Shifted anyways. I have run a 99 V6 stang in my integra. An AUTO too. I beat it barely by half a car. I ran 15.48@91 in my integra, and I drove the **** outta it to beat the V6 stang. I have no doubt on the kill, so some of you are being cocky *** holes about that. The other thing, V6 guy you shouldn't have tried to fight people here either. If you stay mature about things and just explain yourself people will slowly come around. So your attitude was a bit out of line, but I can understand getting pissed off when people jump on you. Your only hope now is to appologize for your remarks and then continue being a valued member to this board. I for one, look foward to seeing more of your posts here. Just keep a cool head, and it sounds like you have a good running car. The V6 stangs are pretty quick now. Nice Kill. The Mustang he raced had some major issues (if the V6 was ahead a couple of cars by 100). So that last statement posted by my buddy 2000 Silver, "...especially since they can beat the old 5.0s.", is not justified at ALL. Beat AT LEAST 2 to 4 more 5.0s with that V6 (enough to at least plot a ******* line) and then you can make that statement. Let's use a little discretion when making generalizations. It also makes me wonder why people get pissed so easily here. I questioned NOT THE TRUTH OF THE RACE, but the different factors concerning the race. What need then was there for name calling???? That is immature and is the method of a child who cannot defend himself when backed into a corner. Also, the method of calling on big brother (LS1 or some other car with which there is no direct affiliation) and saying, "well, uh your car sucks cause that car can beat you..." is also the method of a child who is cornered. Like I stated b4, I don't hate V6 drivers(used to be one myself you know) or their cars and I have nothing against you 2000 Silver so CALM DOWN. Don't resort to "name calling" when someone questions a kill. You might make some friends around here. Peace. ------------------------------- '79 Mustang Coup 4" Cowl Weld wheels (15x6;15x8) Stock 5.8L C4 w/ shift kit 1.5" MAC full length headers Holley 750 CFM Edelbrock intake 2.5" Off road H-pipe, 2-chamber Flowmasters 8.8" Rear end w/ 3.55 gears (Now that's more like it!!) I too think it is very possible for a V6 to beat a 5.0. I have seen many high 15 sec. stangs myself. Usually it was the driver's fault but still, it was a high 15 second run.
Too often posts such as this turn into a bunch of useless name calling. I wish we could all agree to disagree and know when to say when, no sense in getting our feathers ruffled as there are much bigger tragedies. I think we have beat on this post enough. Thread closed. ------------------ SVO siamesed 351 stroked to 417ci,Yates heads, solid roller,Trans King glide and a little blue bottle of giggle gas. My Car |
