I think what is going on here is when someone puts a part on a car and sees that the manufacturer says that it will give the cara 5 hp increase. So that is addes to the total power of the car. Like this pullies = 15 hp, fullexhaust = 25 hp, cold air = 10. 10 + 15 + 25 = 50 so now the car is at 275 hp. http://reality.sgi.com/staheri_corp/mycar/bop.html is a good test on common parts for the 302.

Ok,Ok... Damn, if yall don't beleave me then you can run me! I have races several SS's (autos and standards) and have ran dead even with them. I have several witnesses that I beat a 2000 Supercharged Lightning! Even though it is a truck, it is still FAST. I usually go racing with my friends, and they can back me up. I run 12.9 on a 1/4 mile track and 0-60 in 5.0 seconds. I haven't dynoed it in a while but I will get it re-dynoed when I get my car back from the paint shop. Let me know if you want to run...

Ok, sorry if I sounded like I was pissed. StoplightWarrior, you are dead wrong!!! That is a close, good friend of mine that I go racing with. I might be off on my numbers but I do know this...I run with the SS's. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the SS have 340 and the LT1 Z28's have 325. If I can run dead even with them from 0-85mph then my hp should be close, right? I haven't raced them over 90 because we were on a street. My friend has a Camero and they come with 3.55 gears stock. The 99 and 01 Cobras have 320hp. The 99 Cobra that I raced had an exhaust system and I killed him. From a dead stop and even a rolling start, I keept pulling on him. He had no chance! I just got a new hood, bumpers and a spoiler for my pony, so it is getting painted now. When I get it back I am going to dyno it. If anyone in the Houston area want to get together, let me know. Talk to yall later.

325 at the rear Wheel would put you at about 12.3-5 with that much.

I would say you have about 295HP at the Fly wheel That would put out a 12.9 Run in the 1/4 Youe car is lighter that all you listed and the 5.0 makes more torque than the 4.6 But MAN YOUR CAN IS FAST for stock heads

OMG THIS IS THE FUNNIEST POST EVER. LT1 Z'S HAVE 275-285HP AT THE FLYWHEEL. OMG LOL YOUR MAKING MY DAY. =p I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING....

Something definitely doesn't make sense here, especially the numbers. By the way, you run a 12.9 but what was your 60 ft time and what was your trap speed? Just curious.

Like others said.. No way are you at 325 or anywhere near that for rear wheel hp. Looking at those mods, I'd say you are making close to what a new 99 to 01 GT puts down at the wheels(about 225) or 250-260 at the flywheel.

As far as races go, yeah anything can happen in a race so I won't bother getting into that but your hp numbers are way off.
