raced 2001 mr2 spyder
just got my car last night, 96 GT w/ 5-speed. car is completely stock. ive been driving stick for about 5 hours in my entire life time. anyways, friend demanded to race me even though i just got the car and 0 traction left on the futura tires in the rear.
we raced from a standstill. i spun bad but annihilated him off the line, ripped 2nd, and pulled even harder in 3rd. as soon as he caught up he said how he had a bad start and ground 2nd gear. but hey, isnt half of racing the driver, not just the car? still gleaming from my first victory |

The new MR2's are the smallest cars you can buy now in the US. Very light, but also lacking severely in hp. 0-60 in high seven second range. Still, learning stick was a pain, so I congratulate you in your victory. Good job!

I dont know about a the new MR2 ( which I hate). They were just made to compete against the Mazda Miata. The engines suck. My father has the true MR2 (93 MR2 Turbo) which are awsome cars. Courner Carve like turns are straight lines, and after the horrible 1st gear turbo lag will fly.
The new ones in my mind arn't anything except a disfigured Miata ( yes I know the motor is rear). ----D |
