Race with 12sec Cobra
Ok, I am at a local university with some friends in a car club were I meet up with a guy with a 93 cobra, it had 4:10's, cold air, diferent cam, shifter, 275 DR's, underdrives and some other stuff. Really clean car something like 42K miles. He says he runs 12.8@106 on Dr's so we go out to line them up. I figured he would hammer me out of the hole and I would run him down. Well we line up and have a friend start us, I tried a new launch technice slipping/dropping the clutch at 2K needless to say my car hooks hard, and I am even out of the hole, I jam second and I start pulling I ended up beating him by several cars. The next run we lined up with me having a passenger, again even through first then I grab second and it is over. He said he cuts 1.7 60fts!! Maybe this new launch technique works.
PS his car looked awsome when he heated the DR for like 10 sec!! My guess is when you get back to the track you run 12.58@110.

I am sure he was telling the truth because several people there saw him run 12.8's several time and he had some old time slips (though I didn't see them). I would LOVE to see 110, I think I will try to get my 90/10 and pro launch kit on before I go to the track. My original goal was 12.5@110 all motor. I still have not installed (or bought yet) 90/10's Eibach pro launch kit, Trick flow track heat, 70mm TB. So with those mods I think my 12.5 will be realistic. Than I want to try for a 11.5@118 or so on a 150 shot.
